    That was a classy move on Paul's part when he insisted that Sean and Landon take it for a test drive too. Saying "Go for it, go take it for a rip. You guys have got a lot of work into it" also gave them some well deserved recognition of their efforts.

    That's one cool head turner. Old but new, it doesn't get any better than that. Like someone else commented an old school visor would look good and keep the sun out of your eyes.

    Grandma Lolly is right about not needing the clutch, EXCEPT, starting and stopping. Sort of helps alleviate wear and tear on the motor, motor mounts, and transmission when you have a clutch to at least start and stop.

    I came to this channel ages a go because of Matt's channel but I now think it's better. The way Paul, Sean and Hunter bounce offeach other is just deadly. They all love what they are doing and it really shows. Top Class!

    Use to shift my 49 Plymouth without the clutch...saves wear ad tear.😅 Since I am older than Ollie, I can't call her grandma. She's got it going on. Thumbs up to Sean and Landon. They enjoyed the challenge.

    “You know, if you’re really good you can shift without a clutch.” I love Grandma Lolly. I used to have an older Rabbit with a diesel and a 4 speed. Only ever used the clutch to start in first or reverse. If it didn’t leak a quart of oil a month, I might still have it.

    That winch install couldn't have gone any better. The wrenching Gods were smiling upon you that day. That's a very nice rig, turbo diesel with all the accessories. You and Merlin should have a competition of some kind with the diesels!

    Had to watch this video again. You guys have the best crew. Love how Paul understands he could do it his self but a lot easier and fun. And letting everyone take her for a drive. You are showing your son's something they will use there whole lives. One video you and Michelle did together hope I spelled her name write. People we're bashing her and Shawn and your son. Please don't let it get to any of you I know it's hard not to but just jealous people. I miss seeing Michelle stop I used to see her quite a bit.     If you go to the big truck store,you can get a valve to mount on the air tank that has a thin cable that you can put in a place were you can drain water from air tank without crawling under the truck.👍🇺🇸🤪

    Man that was nice watching something that really wasn’t much of a truck, being pieced together welded together and then watching it move under its own power like that. That was sweet and the truck looks awesome love how you weren’t afraid to tweak it along the way. Can’t wait to see it with the bed on it.

    The look on everybody's face when they went for a ride was great, but the best was the look on Paul's face when he came back and told everybody that the rig was good. It looked like he was gonna bust. Like a proud new Daddy. Congratulations to everybody. Job well done (well, sorta done)

    @15:03 Yep, float shifting. Learned it in the army in the 70's.
    Much more fun in driving stick in those days.
    Only synchromesh on first gear (if you're lucky), the initial go is the one to time to use the clutch.👴😉😁

    Love this channel! Always look forward to new videos. Shows what happens when you’re willing to put in the work. Great example for the younger generation. As for people complaining in the comment section, nobody is forcing you to buy anything. If you do that’s great, but you don’t have to do anything but enjoy the content.

    FYI you can relocate the controller box on the winch with the stuff they send in the box so you don’t have to cut the top of your bumper to make it fit 😂

      Not at all. The 2 frame mounts are on each end of the winch, so he's golden. It's almost like he's fabbed before @@AndrewAMartin 😉

    On our way back to Arizona in mid July, after visiting my sister and her family in Utah, we stopped at Fab Rats and saw the off road roll back being worked on in its early stages. Met Grandma Lolly, Paul, Sean and Hunter, took some photos and headed back to our Rim Country home. We've watched over the intervening months as work on the diesel powered roll back progressed, and we found this 'first drive' episode particularly satisfying - lots to cheer about and two big 'thumbs up' to Paul and the crew!!
