Such a small detail but, Mitsuru normally calls her Takeba, but in this scene she finally calls her Yukari. And Yukari normally calls her Kirijo-senpai. And now she calls her Mitsuru-Senpai. Those little details add a lot.

Which is funny because in the original there was no passer-byes.
Blessings to the VA on their performance and I'm grateful to see so much inner beauty in Mitsuru. Such an amazing example of someone who's been so strong for so long and it's brought her to this point to shed tears. I'm glad she had someone to step up and empathize and share a heart to heart.

But seriously, Clark's take on Mitsuru is incredible. In the VA interview trailer she talked about making sure Mitsuru had a sense of youth in her voice in spite of her confident demeanor, and she killed that aspect. Her feelings of loss and hopelessness jumped through the screen, reminding the audience that she's just a kid who's taken on a great burden. Its just so peak.
I believe the new crew at least does a solid job with these performances to bring the characters to life and at best they might even blow the old VAs out the water out right (AND THIS MORE OF A COMPLIMENT THAN A BASH BEFORE YALL FREAKS COME AT ME). Scenes like this really show how far VA talent has come where we can actually have HEALTHY debates about which of these performances are better. I really hope most of the crew gets a big boost into a bigger spotlight because of how well they've all done for sure.
Who had a better slap scene? Yukari slapping Mirsuru?

Interesting how Yukari is doing the same thing P3MC/Makoto did to her during the Yakushima beach trip.
Artemisia looks so cool in this game. Always found her to be one of the lackluster SEES Personas but seeing this updated model and animation has me thinking otherwise.

I dont really like that they added random people in the background. It doesn't ruin the scene, but I liked the intimacy of the original scene. It does add to Yukari's line about everything being out in the open though, thats something
I mean i understand where you're coming, but you have to understand that, realistically, it's quite complicated that in a very crowded place, especially by tourists, like the riverbanks of Kyoto, the two girls could have a chat in complete silence and tranquility.

I personally prefer the old location of this scene taking place lower in the riverbank with the sunshine and also missed the cut in of Yukari's shocked face when Mitsuru tells her to see it through to the end. Outside of that though, this scene was so much better in Reload! You can feel the pain in Mitsuru's voice here! Also, both of them finally calling each other by their first name is HUGE for their relationship & development. ❤
If only the removed the people in the background walking around though.
That's right, and we're not alone, we fight to the end, all of our friends are our sides, and I'm not alone anymore, in persona Q2 all of us are in this together, we will through this together.

Am I the only one who doesn't like they added people walking around in the background for this scene? If anyhting this scene worked so well in the original precisely because it was just Mitsuru and Yukari having a heart to heart all by themselves.
What's the big deal? It does nothing to hurt the narrative in the slightest, and it's more realistic for there to be people walking here than making a public place like this totally barren. If anything I think the slapping was completely unnecessary.
@@infinitypercival5958 I find it funny that you think the "Slapping" which is a pivotal point of the narrative in this scene to be "unnecessary" while having people walking around like that to be the "improvement"
This is not about "realism" as much as it is about the intimacy of the moment, this scene I feel works better when Yukari and Mitsuru are alone having a heart to heart together (with the original scene showing a sun ray in the foreground, kinda implying the new hope these two have going forward).
I love P3 Reload, don't get me wrong...but this particular scene I think they kinda dropped the ball.
