    I really like 41241's livery. I hope they keep her that way for a good while!
    Every time I see a video of the KWVR I am startled by the steep grades. Makes for a very good show!

      Mateo Pelissier I hope so too. But there are people out there that only what BR black and 1950s liveries, and it gets boring, it’s a real nice change to see an engine look nice colourful and smart.

      I'd forgotten that trend from the early years of the preservation movement where each railway would invent its own livery to paint stock in, rather than trying to represent what the railway looked like in its BR days. Personally, I prefer the authentic liveries but it's nice to see a few like this as a change.

    Excellent, Black five 45212 was a regular on the Poulton to Fleetwood branch in the 1950's in my childhood train spotting days.

    Excellent footage Lee. I was there on the Thursday with my dad, and you can actually make me out at 15.17, at the first window behind the Pannier filming the run to Ingrow on my tablet. Like I said, excellent footage, keep up the good work. Mark

    It's was good to sea the Ivatt back in red, I mean if we want to get young people interested. Kids are more interested in bright colourful engines than if the livery is authentic and black.

    The Ivatt tank is an Eye catcher for certain. A flagship locomotive 🚂

    Great video. Looked a very intense event so much going and with the weather beinv faultless i bet it was a busy one. Im hoping the ivatt stays in the red livery for a little while

    • @thattrainguy
      @thattrainguy 6 лет назад +1

      kinetic .rail yea, it was good fun, in the loco department there are two groups of people, the ones that want the Ivatt to stay in red for the rest of her boiler ticket, and the other group that want to get the paint out next weekend. Surprise it might go down to a society vote again, in which case I would definitely vote for it to stay red.

    • @kineticrail
      @kineticrail 6 лет назад +1

      ThatTrainGuy i thought it wouldnt stay red for full 10 years at a minimum it should stay for remainder of the 50th year.

    • @thattrainguy
      @thattrainguy 6 лет назад +2

      yea, well I think its gonna be a compromise between the two. It will be more than just this year because we need to get our money worth out of the paint. Its not cheap

      oh Absolutely, it looks a treat. I suppose there's always dull old spoilsports who insist that everything must be black.

      It's red because that's the original colour of the railway
