imo the story is not that great, its quite short and its just very predictable. They could really make it like miles teams with the undergrounds and fight the red guys (forgot their names) it would be less predictable and just overall better
Can't wait to see what the modders do, really hope they manage to do something insane like the filters naughty dog have for their games that you can unlock after beating their games and in this make everything look like it's into the spider-verse, that would be insanely cool if the modders did it before the devs get a chance to do so in spider-man 2 if that is something they would add in new game plus.
Ok, you've got to understand that people don't like the new Peter face is because we're unfamiliar with him. Everyone including me got attached to Bubniak because he WAS Peter Parker and that Ben Jordan is just a complete stranger with Yuri Lowenthal's voice. It's like if someone you've never seen before started speaking to you in a friend's voice.

The only reason I believe they changed his face was because visually, Bubniak's was not up to par with the other characters meanwhile Ben's looks more photoreal.
I just finished the game. And I think I had more fun with it than the "first" one. The extra powers Miles gets make gameplay so much more fun for me. I had an absolute blast! The game also looks amazing. The only thing that really bothers me, as a PC gamer, is that I have to wait at least 2 years until I can play the (true) sequel 😩

The best place to play a properly developed game is always the high-end PC. The console experience is always compromised because the device itself is a compromise.
I wonder if Playstation would halt on the ports if more customers had PS5 systems to begin with. For some this is literally the only way to play these 'exclusives'
@The Rotten💯 yeah short term I can see it being a worthwhile investment, but if there's less than like 1-2 years between ports, I think it'll start to erode the usefulness of exclusives. As customer, if Sony is going to continue to put their games on pc relatively quickly, there's no point of getting their console. Granted this quickness could have been a specific thing with Spiderman.

I was actually kind of disappointed. The game is nice and all but it definitely feels like a DLC to the first game. I did tons of side missions and I only spent 9 hours in game. I was also missing the customizability of the powers from the first game.
What if there was a setting that turned off ray tracing when you’re in the open world but automatically turns it on in indoor settings or cutscenes? So you get the full glorious ray tracing experience when you’re in a position to see and appreciate the details?
I've developed a habit of switching between performance mode and fidelity mode every few hours of game play. May sound stupid but i get to experience a little of everything.
I prefer Miles Morales over the original, ONLY because it’s a tighter story and the story is great, the webswinging animations and mechanics are much more addictive to do. (Not saying the original is bad, I just prefer this one)
Wait a second your main concern for a PC game is whether or not it's supports dualsense features and not that it actually plays well with mouse and keyboard
some games are meant to be played in a way. Like FPS games are meant for mouse and keyboard. And Spider-man game was meant for gamepad. I started playing the AC series with kb+m. But I got a gamepad after AC2, and played it with that. Never looked back, it's just better with a gamepad. And if you can afford a gaming PC, you can afford a cheap gamepad too.

Me neither(at least not for a spiderman game), which is why I play at 3440x1440 max settings including RayTracing at 60 FPS. I could easily get over 100 frames if I turned off Raytracing but considering it's far more than some reflection it's completely worth it to see the game the way it's supposed to look. That's why I waited for both spiderman games to come to PC as I knew they would.
why do you have anisotropic at 4x? 16X looks much better and it doesnt lower performance at all. Anisotropic filtering makes a huge quality improvement in every game.
I think its fair to criticize it as not being enough like Spider-Man 2 would be especially when they priced it as a full price game upon launch. I payed the same for Spider-Man, but got less than half the contect with Miles Morales. I'd say the price point now matches the value, but they should not have marketed it as a ps5 launch title and charged it full price.

So it wont get the benefit of the "its just a smaller spider-man game". Nope, for that price point, it's to be judge just as you would judge Spider-Man 2. But I also did feel they made Peter just a bit too good looking I know that he ends up becoming something of a Matt Murdock ladies man as he gets older.
