Malcom was so underrated... his rhythms were genius.... and AC/DC would not have the sound they have without it... RIP Malcom.... My second concert ever was the Back In Black tour... my first was Heaven and Hell Black and Blue Tour... it was a great year for concerts
Best rhythm ever.
Truly
When I first got into AC/DC I thought it was Angus whose sound moved the very atoms of my existence. But then I found out it was Malcolm and his riffs and his sound, and I've been chasing those for years. If we're in a guitar shop and you want to earn my immediate respect (which, I don't really know why anyone would, but still, let's just say...), play Jailbreak. Or Rock 'N' Roll Singer. Or TNT. Or Dirty Deeds. Or anything, really. I always hear people trying to shred, but that's not impressive to me. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Angus, but Mal wrote all the riffs, and it's the riffs that always hook me.
Yup. He was equally as important as Angus to the sound!
"Shot In The Dark" is epic...and pure AC/DC...
It’s a long way to the shop, if you want sausage roll
I’m dead 😂
My parents used to tell me that that’s what everyone used to say in school😂
It's a long way to the Cross if ya wanna f#@& a moll
Back when Kings Cross in Sydney was fun
Dirty Jeans and Thunder Chief ⚡️
I know this video is 2 years old but i wanna say yes you can get close to ACDC sound but the way angus and Malcolm played together it was just pure magic and that will never ever be replicated even the sound they have can never be done exactly the same i love ACDC
AC/DC have the tightest rhythmn section in Rock. Stevie Young filled in for Malcolm so many times in the past that you are hard pressed to tell the difference. It's total telepathy between them all that gives Angus and Brian the space to give their all night after night. When the tour happens, it will be a much needed party for everyone to get rid of the 'Rona Blues.
Angus made me want to learn guitar, Dagan makes me want to pick it up and play when I’m not feeling like it. Love these videos!
The tone before you switched the pedal on was spot on 70s ACDC.
Missing the key feature right off the bat.....

Dagan. You are a legend in your own right man! Awesome energy. Love all your vids!
Loved this video. Cheers Dagan 🤘
Dagan!
You're fricking Awesome!!✨
This is the earliest I’ve been to a Dagan vid. Amazing playing as always. Angus is a living legend! So glad to see the new Epiphone SGs featured here. Would love to see a Sound Like Tony Iommi vid next.
Nailed it! Great vid, thanks!
Dagan im with you on the AC/DC bro 😊 and watching you has sold me an SG a Les paul and a Jackson Minion and now im buying an Sg Standard 😊 what a salesman 😊 keep it up Bruvva cuz THATS THE WAY I WANT MY ROCK N ROLL!!!
I loved every second of this ❤
Man Dagan Thanks a lot !!!💪💪💪👋🏻♥️
In my own opinion , balls to the wall hard rock and roll with a swagger and arm hair raising solo's, means AC/DC (collectively), I say that because they kept my hairs standing on end since I was 10 years old , now 53! Just love 'em. Awesome video and tribute Dagan 😍☮☮☮👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
Great video man 👌
Best vid ever cheers dagan 🎸
Awesome! Thanks
Ol angus.. the guy was a fantastic rock star!! Love the simplisity and the fantastic tone
First saw AC/DC at Donnington monsters of rock 1981, saw them again in 1984 with Van Halen.
'Bending with Angus' sounds like a daytime tv program
Pre-Show workouts
Great player, great teacher
u are a top bloke......love the passion
I'm old and only just getting into AC/DC.
Saw them with Axl and looking forward to seeing them with Brian in the future.
The SoloDallas Shaffer Tower, a '61 SG Standard and a Marshall super lead into a 4x12 greenback loaded cab is a golden recipe for sure
Great
Another great video and sounds. Can we get a richie sambora video? Really underrated guitar player in my opinion.
U really gotta do a James Hetfield Kirk Hammett Metallica Gear Guide
I agree. About Kirk dont forget his best axe, the mighty Jackson RR1T!
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘

Step 1 to sounding like AC/DC: Turn the gain down and the volume up. Malcolm's tone, in particular, had _very_ little gain-- but even Angus' doesn't have nearly as much as you might think. You just want it slightly crunchy, not fully distorted.
I can't wait to get my Standard '61 very soon B-) no Vibrola though. I'm not the biggest fan of AC/DC, I don't know what it is.
Dagan your vids rock. If only they didnt make me feel like I overpaid for gibson sg and marshall sv20 to get a similar sound..... and of course the TST pedal. thats worth its weight in gold. Tone is in the fingers people!!! not the gear... lesson learned.
My friend Dagon, Im waiting for your review on Boss GT-1000 Core.
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘
dude I LOVE my red wine epiphone les paul! I've only been playing 2 and a 1/2 years... I think my guitar is beautiful and awesome.
I had the monsters of rock vhs tape, got it in 1991 or early 92, at the age of 9 or 10. I skipped all the other bands and just watched AC/DC over and over again. I started playing guitar because of angus, and to this day,my absolute favourite guitar is the SG.
I worked backstage in ‘91 for that tour (AC/DC, Metallica, Motley Crue, Queensryche, and Black Crowes...) it was the time of my life!
*I was at Reim Germany but same stage/tour as Donnington... Razors Edge... great stories and excellent memories ! 🤘🏼
That’s badass man! Who put on the best performance out of all that you’ve seen there?
@@jordanfender3085 hard to say since they all did awesome, but i think Metallica & Qryche were in their prime… they were all amazing though, it was a day i’ll never forget
80,000 German metal heads throwing crushed beer cups in the air was a sight to behold… and we almost started a riot passing out ac/dc bucks (they shoot them out of a cannon) to the crowd between shows (we found cases of them in a truck 😂)
Thank you so much for this video you have really surprised me.
Boring details below.
I play guitar and hard rock specifically AC/DC. I have always had a dream of making music and my father says I am crap. Any motivation on what I should do?
Angus rocks hard
I set my Marshall Origin 50 at 50% gain, and dime the volume. And Dagan is absolutely right…. I hit the front of the amp with a Caitlinbread Naga Vioer (treble booster) and that’s the magic sauce.
I too love Angus Young
R.I.P Malcolm Young
hello their do you know a places that sells epiphone les paul classic?
Sweet playing! I'm a little surprised though, why the origin 20 instead of the origin 50?
Angus yes I play Epiphone SG too. That his came our in my mid 20s
Hi guys i have a question. I have budget about 200$-300$ i want an sg do you have any idea for a great or at least guitar that doesnt suck. Thank you
my first experience not just w rocknroll but w music PERIOD, my mom had an old cadillac when i was a kid w an 8 track in it. we had two tapes. floyd cramer's gospel hits and ac/dc's highway to hell. i been hooked ever since. i convinced my wife to let me name our first born son angus.
When you use that overdrive pedal , do you use compression pedal?
Can you make it something like that but with metallica?
“I remember being a little Dagan” (age 4. 6’3”)
Malcolm is my guitar God. The true riff master
Yeah I’m definitely getting one of those Epi SGs. What do we prefer, the 61 or standard?
Are their differences just neck and pickguard? Which one does have bulkier neck? 61 or standard?
@@Ozzysm 61 has thinner neck
Should do an oasis tutorial
I was at that gig lol
you HAVE to do an srv one
Rule number one: Tune down a quarter step from standard in the bon Scott years atleast, pain in the ass matching tone when your tuning is off😆 it became painfully evident when I played along with little lover something was off and that was the key, matched perfectly 🤘⚡
Im with you Dagz...ACA DACA are the greatest!
Please do a how to sound like slayer video?
You gotta do a John petrucci gear guide plzzzz
Now iam sounding like angus young
It would be great a how to sound like Ritchie Blackmore
It’s absolutely all about conviction. If you don’t “go for it,” you’ll fall flat.
Do a Tom Scholz gear guide.
Play The Guitar While Doing The Signature Move Of Angus young!!!!
You can only play to even CLOSELY replicate Angus' playing is standing up.
I was basically raised on a diet of AC-DC
So you forgot about the specific pickups Angus used in his guitar?
Starts out video with tone nothing like AC/DC. This'll be good.
Dagan using an epiphone!? No wayyyyyy
Epiphone are awesome!
Dagan is great, but a bit too tall.... 😀
Gotta do a green day gear guide
They did.
Was wondering how others on youtube get away with playing ac dc but you always play as close as you can . Wondering why is that?
Never has any guitarist sounded so close to AC/DC without actually playing any of the riffs. LOL. Great job!
49% of AC⚡DC's career is in E, 49% is in A, and 2% is in other keys
great tone when your 15 and can't really play anything.
Maybe just a little bit less gain, and little bit fatter sound
Plexi + Schafer wireless saturator that's all what you need to sound like Angus
