@11:00 when you start to work on the material properties, how do I have that same list of materials for a garment I exported from CLO in ALEMBIC (OGAWA) format that has an animation?
You can't you will have to work around it. Alembic isn't taking the material information. Your options are - Export a point2 or PC2 cache instead. You will get a cache file like the alembic and an OBJ file to import in blender. Add a mesh cache modifier, set it to PC2 and open the file that was exported from Clo. Option 2 - work with 1 material slot - this is possible and sometimes preferred. You would need to follow this substance painter workflow that works with just 1 material slot as opposed to the multiple materials from clo - ruclips.net/video/XH7nk7VdE_s/видео.html Option 3 - export each material as its own alembic from Clo and combine then back in the same scene after. This is achieved by hiding the mesh in the viewport in Clo using shift + Q and export only the visible parts. This will mean you export each material as its own alembic Hope it helps

HI this video is so good thanks you so much. Question - what are the advantages of rendering in blander over the Col3d render ? do you get a better finish or lighting options ???
Hello!! first of all, thank you for these tutorials, they really help me with a very uncommon workflow. I know the chances to fix a problem by this medium are very low, but when I send my textures to blender they look like in minute 15:40, (the first tile repeating everywhere) and the solution you talk about after that won´t work. May you have a clue what could be happening? thank you.
There could be a couple reasons. In Blender, you can manually set up the UDIM workflow by following these steps: In the Node Editor, select the image texture node that you want to assign a UDIM texture to. Open the Node Wrangler menu by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Left Mouse Button on the image texture node. Select the "UV > UDIM" option from the Node Wrangler menu. In the "UDIM Tiles" panel that appears, select the appropriate UDIM tile number for the image texture. Repeat these steps for all image textures that you want to assign UDIM textures to. If the textures are not being read correctly and only the first UDIM image texture is connected, make sure that you have assigned the correct UDIM tile number to each image texture node. Also, check that the file paths for each UDIM texture are correct and that the textures are located in the correct folder. If the issue persists, you can try disabling the "Auto Texture Space" option in the Node Wrangler add-on preferences. This option is enabled by default and can sometimes cause issues when working with UDIM textures. You can access the Node Wrangler add-on preferences by going to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Node Wrangler.
@@digitalfashionblender Thank you, can´t believe you took the effort to send me those solutions. I also tried exporting the cloth to blender in GLTF format and it did well (for static renders, didn´t tried animations). Again thank you very much!!

heyy i when i add my texture to the clothes i dont get the same results even after i followed your trick,
Can you better describe the results your are getting? What is the issue looking like?
@@digitalfashionblender the coat i designed the lapel has the sherpa fabric but when i bring it to blender it looks glossy
@@saran9523 you need to check your roughness map if it is looking glossy - Be aware that sherpa fanric uses displacment in Clo3d so you will need to set up some displacment in blender
@@digitalfashionblender hey you got any socials that i could reach out regarding issue on uv maps.
we need a tutorial on how you can export the avatar from clo3d to blender
Export obj with avatar selected....
@@digitalfashionblender okay thank you i will try it now
@@digitalfashionblender I import it in blender it took some time to work then it appeared like it imported but the scene in blender is empty do u an idea what's happening? because i already work with Daz character and i imported in clo3d then worked on my design but i need to finish render on blender and my issues here is with the character texture its not appearing in blender when i exported as FBX file
