Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: yes it will work the 16gb and the 8GB without any issues, let me give the cons and pros: cons: if you place 16,8 , then you will have a dual channel up to 8GB then after that what ever you fill it will be single channel. pros: you have a dual channel up to 8GB and extra head room after in a single channel. that is all, i would recommend you to place a 2 x 16GB to have 16gb full dual channel. single 16gb ram we use: amzn.to/3UgYTwe 2x16gb: amzn.to/3Bus0DT
The main problem would be the board. I believe the Lenovo documentation shows that the laptop can only handle 16gb of RAM total. Your configuration would have 24GB of RAM, and thus it would not be supported. Also in general, running 2 different capacity RAM sticks in a dual channel configuration isn't recommended. I would recommend simply getting another 8gb stick of RAM.

they try different brands of ram, they should and get 2400mhz not 3200

My laptop keeps restarting after ram installation... Now it's blue screened... Help..
