hi, davy here, director of this documentary. funny story, tim was just jamming out here on the bus, and my friend david meiklejohn happened to catch it on camera. we used it to begin the How We Survive film, and my brother peter, an awesome guitarist (of Poem Adept fame) learned how to play it from watching the movie. then he played it for tim once and tim was like, "why does this sound so familiar?" and tim ended up using it as a bridge in the song Savior on Appeal to Reason. hilarious!
That’s really amazing! Are you still on RUclips? We’re looking for Rise Against fans to answer these questions for a documentary in progress: Q: How has Rise Against influenced you? Q: How are you trying to make positive changes in your community? Currently in pre-production, it will focus on how this band has inspired many and “left a lasting impact”. There is a ripple effect of positivity and enduring change, but we hope to show what that means to you you and your communities. How does punk rock music really save lives? hi this is davy, the director of this Rise Against documentary. the book tim's reading is: Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground, 1981-1991, a book by Michael Azerrad great book!
Oh shit. It's been so long. But I just started listening to this band. I'm from Russia, and few people in Russia listen to this band. That's pretty bad.
its sad that the dvd of what the band is ACTUALLY ABOUT has a minuscule fraction of the views on their videos...oh well, at least we're the die-hard fans!
@wr1azukul 1. this documentary is on youtube and i never pay for movies 2. i've bought the unraveling, revolutions per minute, siren sound of the counterculture, and the sufferer and the witness 3. i saw them live with bad religion. - so yes, i do support my bands.
