There'll be a chance to see these trees up close and personal soon, although I'd be grateful if you could leave the axes at home! Parts of this monster-build will be on display to the public for the first time at Salute 2020/21 in London on 13th November. Do feel free to come and say hello if you're there...

Seconded. Regardless of how the trunk is made, you've set a high-quality standard for wargaming trees. The glimpses into your mass-production line for them was informative. Perhaps you could review how you plan and prepare for mass builds like that? Not in detail, perhaps a few minutes on your process.

those latex skin webbings look like tent caterpillar webbing. So if you left them on, you could have trees suffering a severe tent caterpillar infestation. Or possibly Mirkwood spiders, if you're doing fantasy terrain. Add a few mini spiders to that, and it would look rather convincing.

i use sponge to get stronger trees. First i mix it, then i use a mix of colour and white glue. Takes very long to dry but it's rocksolid. Since it gets smaller at it dries, a second passage is necessary. It's great for dense trees and hedges.

Liquid latex is fantastic. I used to use it back in the day for larp costumes and weapons.
You can mix it with most acrylic or latex based paint just stay clear of paints with strong chemical scents (terpentine, etc) and untested spraypaints. Some of these can melt latex and results in a stickyness that can last for years.
It can probably do everything PVA does. Just differently. Its a more flexible alternative.
Fun fact for Larp weapons we found 3 dips was adequate to make a weapon that would last for years.

Okay so what he's calling seafoam is actually supertrees. And it has a plant that smells like lichen and looks just like what you see except he's broken it off of the stems. On the stems they look very much like very real trees. But what he's doing with it is also impressively creative and I'm going to try it. This plant grows in Scandinavia and it can be ordered from Scenic Express in the United States. I'm not sure where he gets it I guess I could look in the details.

Although your trees are designed for wargaming they would also be perfect for a portable model railway that goes to shows. As for a home layout you could skip the last bit.

Like a very porous sponge structure. Tore it bits then painted it before using. Might be good if someone isn't making so many trees that they can justify filling a bucket with latex.

You could do yourself a fantastic favor by giving the trees a light spray of a flat black or even a white with a different approach. And I then proceeded to dry brush them assuming a light source or give them a spray with a highlighting spray from a diagonal up to down. But you want to drive Rush the trunk at least to bring out some of the texture the tree texture and then once it's dry brushed put on some color some proper tri-color and don't make them all bleeping brown or leave them all stupid white or worse yet not paint them at all and had those stupid Brown plastic sticks just coming up from under wonderful looking trees LOL For Crying Out Loud making the tree armatures look like trees isn't that hard and it's so so worth it. Just a light coat coat some tri-color a dry brush and some wash and it looks like a real tree and it looks like you work forever
