He's back, the man behind the scenics!

😊😊😊👍👍👍
Love the new tagline. 'Terrain to fight over' is really clever.
I like the new format and space. Didn't hear any issues with the audio, no need to stress yourself over it.
I'm definitely giving this a go.
Cheers 🥃
I was starting to worry about you. Seeing your notification made my day.
Hey Luke! I'm an aircraft mechanic. I use safety wire pliers that would really make you quite excited. Look them up. You'll be happy you did
I’m super exited luke. You have literally changed my life with you terrain videos. You have inspired me most. Thank you so much Luke.
Been searching for a tree method this good for ages. Thank you!
Now thats a tree! Tip for ya; I hated the way latex knackers brushes until I found this out, work neat washing-up liquid [dish soap] into the brush before you start latexing. The brush will wash out with a little effort and be re-usable. On big jobs, you can either clean and repeat during the job, because latex still builds up on the bristles or rotate more than one brush on the job. I keep separate brushes for latex work [making a lot of latex molds etc] and this keeps brush costs down. Even cheap brushes add up when they get used like consumables. Great work Luke - patience is always rewarded!
I love the new tree tutorial. Nature type things are my favorite to make and tree bark has been a nemesis to figure out. Lol. So, it's great to find other alternatives that look like actual bark, verses carving apoxiesculpt. Thank you for the video and welcome back.
Looks incredible mate
@@GeekGamingScenics hahahahha
Love the tree and the new setup! And can I say on behalf of the community thank you for the content , oh And can we please have more! We need more awesome content in these dark times!
Like this video format. We all are stuck at home and need all the good videos we can get.
We missed ya!! We need you in these trying times as we are all in our craft zones more than ever
12:36 You could actually leave it as it is, or add just a lil bit of orange turf, and that looks like a decent autumn birch
Great to have you back and at the perfect time (for us). Please keep up the great work.
Love the video and the new space! Fantastic looking trees!
Great to have you back bud mist you loads, we need a good does of you in these dark times.
Don't rush yourself mate, don't spread yourself to thin not at times like this. Take time with you'r family.
Just found your channel, and I have to say that you are an artist!
I build fairy houses with landscape, and your ideas, techniques/methods have been sooooooo helpful.
Thank you 💕
Awesome video! So glad you're back. Keep healthy, happy, and building those bad ass scenics.
Great new setup you've got going on there. Love the lights and black background. I think that lighting panel is bigger than my room. Awesome tree, as well (goes without saying).
Perfect timing, I've had trees on the brain. You're our family favorite.
Looks amazing mate! Love all you RUclipsrs keep our spirits up and awesome work finding a way to stay open and stay safe! Legend
The Most time consuming tree making Ive Seen, BUT DAME !! ,TALK about time spent for Some of the Most Beautiful trees EVER... Cheers M8t 🥂 ... taught me new techniques 😎
Welcome back, perfect timing if you ask me. Awesome job on those trees and very informative.
It looks awesome! I´m happy you are back and hope you´re getting better in whatever is happening, thanks for all the content and your effort!
New format and space is top notch and it is reassuringly normal to hear and watch you in this time of weirdness. Many Thanks.
He is back!!!! I was starting to worry not to see anything from you for a while, glad to see you are ok !!! Once again an excellent tutorial from a master of art !!! Love love love from Belgium
Great video, and very effective method for making realistic
trees. BTW, I'd like to point out that I've also
solved the problem of trees collecting dust by making 'indestructible trees' which can be
jet-washed with water AND vacuum-cleaned. The secret is to glue the
foliage to the 'twigs' by dunking the 'clumps' of twigs in
Cyano-arcylate glue, then dunking them in the scatter. This creates
strong and ever-lasting foliage. The twigs meanwhile, are made from
nylon-monofilament fishing line, which is flexible and 'ever-lasting'
and the branches to which they are fixed are made from 'wire-cored
garden twine' which is also flexible and 'ever-lasting'. The upshot of
all of this is that the leaves, twigs and branches are ALL flexible and
highly resistant to damage from knocking, bashing, crushing, bending,
being blasted with jet water, and vacuum-cleaned. I don't know if that's
of any help for you, but maybe it is to other viewers. I do have vids,
and show the method for the construction of a 13 inch high 'Yew tree'
and then I throw it across my table and bash it repeatedly on the bench
to show just how indestructible it is! LOL.
I love the way you admit to the mistakes you’ve made and how you’ve corrected it. Great new format btw 👍❤️👍
those trees look remarkable!
Like the new format and I love that tree, can't wait to try one myself. Thanks
They look amazing!
I love this - I watched your older video on making trees before this one, and you've gone from "I don't know nowt about trees, you got brown trees and green trees and grey trees, a tree's a focken tree" to "The texture's a bit rough for a silver birch."
As usual, quality content and products. Put in a big order at Geek Gaming to build my first table this weekend, again, your videos are my bible!
Going to have to borrow this method for some future projects on my channel.
Nice to see you again on air. Thanks for this awesome tutorial. Stay safe, Healthy and creating this great stuff. A hug from Spain
Great stuff mate, good to have you back making content and really enjoying your brand development and progression. Keep up the hard work it will be worth it 👍🏻
I’ve just found you on RUclips primarily because I’m doing a water feature on my layout. Though I’ve never heard of some of the products that you’re using (maybe because I’m in the US), I loved you techniques for water falls & features that your using and I’m trying to find a tube of that amazing water that you use. The drying time sure beats the hell out of Woodland Scenics that need a good 24hrs to dry before you can add a second coat or do anything with it (I’m a bit important) LOL But thanks for the tips and I’m definitely going to try your tree technique even though I’m modeling in N scale, bit smaller than what I’ve seen you doing, THANKS AGAIN, STAY SAFE!
Love, love, love it! With this time off we can all have a crack it it!
Awesome. That is now my new online test to see if I will get on with someone, have them examine four trees and then look at the camera, LOL.
Hope your well mate 👍
The new studio looks slick! Glad your well!
That tree is amazing, although quite time consuming ! But totally beautiful! Would like to see it in a board or beside some mini's!
Very tempting, realsitic and wonderful !
Luke, those are absolutely beautiful!
You weren't wrong about the timing! Thanks for sharing this with us
Welcome back, just in time for the introvert hobbyist holiday.
I'll be looking forward to more videos from you the next weeks.
great video, definitly gona use those products when shipment will be up and running again. good to see you again
Very realistic. Super nice! It's a lot of work.
Dude, your quality has improved so so much since I started watching you about a year/year and a half ago! So happy for you!
Fantastic video, set up and beautiful tree.
Tree-mendous stuff, I have a silver birch in my garden. I could use that as a guide to build my own.
nice to have you back mate
Fantastic looking trees. Actually looking like The silver Birch rather than a generic "tree" nice one. The fingers sticking to seafoam is always a pain. My workaround is thread. I put a little loop of appropriately coloured thread round the wireform branch then slip my seafoam parts under the loop, Tug tight then apply a spritz of activator then my cyano. It's hands free (although fiddly) a double around with the thread then the knot seems to work best. then snip the two tails and move on to the next bit.
Nice, Birch is my favourite tree and I was thinking how to best capture it in a model setting. Thanks for the tips and inspiration!
Lukes Aps - Geek Gaming Scenics Exactly! White bark and how different they grow. So lanky! :D
That quality 👌🏻
Awesome tree, so much work has gone into this, you can tell. Great video mate. 😎
Nice looking tree!
Would love to see some tutorials on Autumn themed trees, tables, etc. Not sure if you ever use the actual leaf shaped terrain accessories, could be cool to put on the ground or in a stream or something.
Audio's fine Luke. Nice video mate. Instructive and very clear. Nice pad too! x
Hi Luke, Having watched your videos previously I have become addicted to Sea Foam. Oh boy, what lovely stuff. Okay yes, it does take time, but I'm retired and railway modelling, and have all the time in the world. I don't need to latex etc on my layout as you do, but I have learnt so much from you and the other Luke 'Towen'. Keep up the good work and best of luck with the new place and your on-line shop. Cheers, Rick
Loved the techniques. Would you still use wire for the base of a major oak with very thick trunk (two inch) and limbs (~1/2-1/4 inch)?
I have always had the idea of a town center having a Oak with a massive trunk and thick low limbs. Mainly so I can do town ruins (undead board) in the classic top down RPG style with towns folk hung from the limbs.
Good to see you back and good to see your mug on the Miniac/Black Magic Craft crossover. Stay good !
Hey, Luke, just wanted to say I loved this video. The new format and studio are great. Really looking forward to more vids.
Always enjoy watching your tutorials! The new set-up will make the upcoming videos even better! The tree looks fantastic too! 🤘👍👍🤘
@@GeekGamingScenics first for me!
You could even add greeny brown foliage, and even lighter colours very sparingly on that first foliage layer. Would take it slightly further along the naturalistic looking road. Trees fine how it is though.
Looks great lad!
If that's the quality you are aiming for its fantastic. Looks easy to follow and doable for us mere mortals.
amazing looking tree!
YES NEEDED THIS EXACTLY
Looks awesome
Welcome back dude! Awesome video. The style, layout, set up and layout was spot on!!! Keep up the good work and the good products. I bought some of your stuff to build a big modular board and was very impressed.
Wow that’s incredible!! Thank you!
Your videos are so helpful when crafting little additions to my Department 56 Dickens Christmas village - thank you!
For sure, going to have to borrow this method for some future projects on my channel.
Stay safe fellah! loved the new content, its nice and chilled and the lighting is great!
Love Love Love!
Welcome back , Jubbly Tree ,

I am rather new to trees but you have a very easy presentation to understand. Thank you.
Welcome back, recording studio looks great plenty of space, which means there is less distraction. Keep it up.
So glad you're back dude
I love this! Great job.
looking good mate
Good to see you back.
great to see you back
Amazing birch! Lots of good detail on how you attach the sea foam. (You kind of blew past that step in the Band of Brothers video.) Again, really great tree. Thanks!
That’s beautiful work 😊
This would make Bob Ross smile.
That is an amazing tree. Well done. I'm making a WW2 West Germany board and I have to make my own trees for the first time.
Haha, happy little mistakes !
You are a very talented man. I am absolutely impressed with your work ❤️❤️❤️BUT .....I have never seen a man with so much patience👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Fabulous tree. I'm in Augusta Georgia USA and would love to have your trees. I make Dioramas with English Fox Scenes under glass. I'm learning but you are the best. Thank you for your video!
Useful tips. Many thanks
This video was an absolute work of art Luke. And, beautiful tree man.l, what a labour of love. And dem brushes😎
Best tutorial about trees I have seen on RUclips
Great new start :) I love your videos, always sound so chipper! amazing trees, come make me some :)
great video. good to see you back matey!
Is it just me or the tree looks much better and much more realistic with only the sea foam on before putting the leaves?
Very beautiful tree, Iike the realistic colour of the trunk. Good job 👍
Cool terrain tips, AND a magic show?! What's not to love about that?
@@GeekGamingScenics 😆😂🤣
Back in the nick of time to keep our spirits up :-D Awesome video, man.
Looks like you prefer true scale trees for 28mm like me :) I never liked the small typical wargame trees for anything beyond small saplings and young trees. I make my trees in a similar way to you and another modeller called Luke Towan. I come from a LARP background and used to make LARP weapons and wanted to suggest using isoflex over the latex to make them bulletproof. Isoflex is what we put over the latex on foam weapons and it makes things flexible but as hard as nails.
Hey man. Thanks for the amazing videos. I just got into Kings of War and I can’t play an in person game yet but your website is amazing. I got everything so quick and all during Covid-19. You are the only terrain site I will order from
Lukes Aps - Geek Gaming Scenics thanks for the awesome videos.
Cool tree. A lot of useful on your channel. Thank you !!!
