all of this was actually extremely helpful! especially with the motion blur options that I never actually got the hang of for a while. thanks alot man!
Idk what parts of the tutorial that did this but after doing this tutorial, my rendering time reduces from 7 hour to 30 minutes like how dude, that's just helping me so much man thank you
Thank you so much that motion blur trick helped me so much I never realized how bad it looked, compare an animation of mine to my latest one and there’s a huge difference thanks!
Really helpful tutorial, one thing about rendering in 1080 through launch options tho, People with a less powerful PC might not be able to do it because it decreases performance and adds more render time. What I do is render in 720p and then using an editor I render in 1080. I never knew about show focal plane though, makes it a lot easier to mess with focal distance. All In all amazing tutorial man, I've learned some really cool things from this.
Upscaling isn't very effective. Instead of making something sharper and more clear, it will make it blurrier. I would animate in 720p, and just render overnight in 1080p. I'm glad you found my tutorial helpful!
next video should be about lighting tips and also, if you want, a way to not have compression when exporting videos on youtube, that would be quite helpful
If you want more on particles, I recommend watching this www.youtube.com/watch?v=70GhO You can get to the same editor by going under the Window tab in sfm

Help! When I up the samples, it doesn’t change anything. The volumetric lighting won’t change it still has that annoying shadow thing when you put through like a Freddy mask Edit: nvm I found out why I fixed it
Wow thanks! But I have a question please? I am a beginner FNAF animator and I try to change the pupil size of my models by typing *r_eyesize* in commands, but it doesn’t work. How do I fix this ? Thank you.
My pc is a low end pc so I can't use motion blur or stuff like that but my main problem is the model movements all my movements always looks robotic even when I try not to do it that way it just happens and I kndw my pc doesn't cause them to look blocky but it does limit what I can do on sfm I can't have more than 25 models in a shot and it won't let me have more that 8 lights at a time I dunno if that's how it usually is could anyone give me some tips on how to make my movement look more natural and less blocky and robotic
40 gigs? You are for sure fine ram wise. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell how good a gpu is based on age, but there is no harm in giving it a try
SFM renders TGAs faster than PNGs, but TGAs have a larger file size. It's your preference weather you care more about speed or file size. Also TGAs are far less compatible.
So, if you want to use motion blur, 128 DOV samples, and 64 motion blur samples, what should be your shutterspeed? (also, adding 64 motion blur samples is the way to add motion blur, right?)
Usually you would decide how much samples you want to use based on your shutter speed, since shutter speed decides how much blur there will be. 64 samples works with shutter speed above 0.004, and I would probably use 0.007 shutter speed.
Sorry about the audio being so quiet, and the sfm text being impossible to read. I wish I knew a way to make the text in sfm bigger.
