Great job: I like to see just about anything go from being cast out to refurbished, repurposed, and working again like it was meant to at it's creation; especially a well-made pocket knife 👍!
I do enjoy this kind of content. Great transformation! I always enjoy a knife restoration. Every single one that I have done has been such a fun and rewarding process. I kept eyeing up that SAK in the background the entire video lol!
Great little knife, and less pitting than I expected. I am on the fence with this one. I would probably polish this one like new but leaving any pitting. But there is no right or wrong way with this one as it is still a gorgeous knife. Take care and God bless you 🙏
I'd bet your vintage estimate is accurate. That knife was one of the "Official" BSA knives in the early 70's and most common. I don't know how long before or after it was in production. Nicely done on the clean up.
What you have is an official Boy scout knife the shield indicates that, not a eagle scout. The knife would have had an Official Boy Scout etch on the blade originally. These knives were licensed by Boy Scout’s of America. Camillus made an identical knife with the same shield, there was also a five layer version with a philips screwdriver and some smaller two & three bladed versions for carving kind of like a stockman.
Try some 400 or 220 emery wet & dry sandpaper with your dirty oil on those blades to match the great job you did on the rest of that gem. . The same way the carbon blades sharpen they will clean & leave plenty of patina. You will love the finished product
Takie same od firmy Boker Magnum sprzedawane są w Polsce za 20€. Magnum classic pocket steel.Ich jakość jest tragiczna, ale wyglądają bardzo ładnie.Ja jednak zostanę przy Victorinox.
Cleaned up nicely. Thanks for sharing your process with us. Take care and have a great weekend.
