They don't realize that they're only helping the video gain publicity. They can take it down how many times they like, but it will start popping up on other hosts.
When that happens they will only lose site traffic, so either way, they are risking harm to themselves.
If they continue to take it down, you will know they have a reason to do so at the risk of harm to themselves.

I’m so glad my life doesn’t heavily revolve around social media. RUclips is the only vice but even that I limit.
Same. I stopped using Facebook for anything but messaging because I kept almost getting banned for speaking my mind or making a joke. I occasionally scroll through some shorts, but I force myself to stop after a few minutes. I watch stuff for entertainment, but I mostly try to use it to educate myself. It's very easy to get sucked into a never-ending loop of short videos.

I've lived in China for some months. You can not pass a day with commiting a petty crime in China. There is no point in even trying to obey the rules. Everybody violates them every day. One example: all electric scooters or motorcycles are forbidden within City limity. Even driving your bike is forbidden in certain parts. Yet there are thousands of them everywhere.
If the CCP wants to arrest you, they can always at any time, and they can allways find something you did wrong.

I live across the street from what used to be this village-square themed shopping center, but in recent years, a Chinese company bought-out the entire area. Gone is the homey sign with bundles of wheat and oranges, now a generic grey block that says "Welcome to" on one side, and "hope to see you again soon" on the other. 9:13 this part is so stupid. The average salary in Moscow is USD 1,400 and the average salary in Washington is USD 5,800. Comparing food costs without taking income into account is so stupid. I used to respect this guy but he just raves on all the time about China and his videos come across as well edited but poorly researched especially in the history. It's a bit clickbaity now.
What's even more ironic is the history of Western pillage and invasion of China that sets China back decades as a country. And here we are, talking about the fear of China's economic success and rising influence.
We can mock China all we want, but that doesn't solve any issues we have or make us any better.
