The BWF World Championships is held every year except for the year of an Olympic Games. It is a showcase of the very best in the sport and it determines who are the World Champions in each of the five disciplines, men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
The first World Championships was hosted in Malmo Sweden in 1977, and the Championship was held every three years until 1983, after which, it became a biennial event until 2003. Since 2005 however, the BWF World Championships has become an annual tournament.

Lew was Malay’s best player beside lcw. He got skills and footwork...somehow could not make it far
He is pretty much not consistent....besides he looks like did not interest to win based on his gameplay sometimes......quite shock he enter Semis at WC18 Though

It's a joke that people keep referencing as if Son Wan Ho will pose any threats at all to stop Momota.
LCW is a better threatening player as he has the attacking weapon to gain points. Son Wan Ho's defensive style? That defensive style only works for players who has not great attacking skills, and also poor inconsistent good defenses.
If there's one thing consistent with Momota - it's his defenses, court coverage and shots-neutralizing skills. Momota is still lack of a great full power smashes compared to the young LIn Dan. Once Momota strengthen his attacking power, he will match the former great young LIn Dan.

Vertie He kinda fcked up his ankle during the QF match against Tsuneyama before, that might be the reason why he seemed to be lacking physicalities. Tho it’s hard to beat Momota anyway even if Daren is in top condition..
