I’ve had so many Scotty Cameron putters, mainly because they look so good, but a few months in, I know they’re not right for me, I imagine the tour only versions are totally different things, currently own a Special Select square back, 2021. I’m sacking it.
@@misteroneputt the reason to make my own putter is the feel that I want I can make since I have cad and CNc service providers and I can add luxury part to the putter like gold plated and leather etc
I have a Tommy Armour ZAAP putter that has those characteristics…way ahead of its time! Someone from LAB even made a comment on RUclips to a comment I made about this, saying it was the Grandfather of this type of putter. It will spin in your hands like it’s on a bearing. Quite remarkable. Shame that Armour golf discontinued the line because they were very reasonably priced compared to Honu or L.A.B., but I can agree this style of putter doesn’t close or open while you swing it. Cheers from Nova Scotia..MikeR.
I find it quite astonishing that Scotty or any other major putter manufacturer hasn’t figured this out. But maybe they have. This only works for a straight back and through stroke probably and maybe face balanced when most golfers have an arc in their stroke. You need to be left eye dominant and right handed or vice versa to use this. This is how 90 percent or more of pros are situated. This leaves the majority of hackers in the same boat but they’ll imagine they’re doing better through a placebo effect. Save your money.
I think they have figured it out but are selling lots of putters so they don’t want to change. There is no such thing as a straight back and straight through stroke. That’s impossible because your body doesn’t work that way. This works with every kind of stroke.
I have been playing for less than a month... found out about palm up putting before my first round and my putting performance is far better than it has any right to be!!! (My last two rounds were average 2 and 1.9 putts) I have a Kotahi grip coming for my putter and hope to move to a Honu when it's time to upgrade.
The Honu is the only MASS Balanced putter and has ZERO torque thus no compensations for wobble or twisting, the lack of torque in say the Lab is something called lie angle balanced; the lie angle is defined as the centerline of the shaft tangent to the sole measured at the face center line so the Lab is centerline of the shaft tangent to the sole measured measured at the face center line balanced which is a mouth full and i think has no scientific explanation but there it is.
Hi John. The device is called, "The Revealer" and it is made by L.A.B. Golf. Honu makes a similar product as well and they call theirs the Honuizer. I agree with you on Honu being the best putter ever and actually have a video on the channel reviewing the Honu and that is the title,
I can't get over how the Honu looks, it doesn't look like a putter to me. I appreciate the craftmanship of it though. If I am feeling rich over the next few weeks, I'm thinking of ordering a LAB Link, because their other/MEZZ options also look wierd to my eye. Something with the LAB technology or Mass Balanced(?) Technology that looks like a more "traditional" mallet putter would suit me I think.
I've been using the Honu putter for 5 years and as its made of Bamboo (stronger than steel but feels like butter) it attaches some attentiion for sure; and its a hand made piece of art but the mass balancing science is the real deal! The Honu does remove the torque and wobble in the ark better than any putter ever made. Many of my friends have tried it and have gotten one themselves and frankly I don't have anyone thats not putting better with this putter !!!!! M
No. Not at all. The video title is the problem with Scotty Cameron putters and the video very clearly illustrates a problem with Scotty Cameron and virtually every other brand of putter. I’m using an effective title, but not Clickbait.
I played a L.A.B. until I found the HONU and it is still the best putter ever made.

A question
Is the putters u mentioned certified for tournaments
What if I make my own putter can I use in tournaments
Yes it is legal for tournament play as it isn’t adjustable on the course during a round
@@misteroneputt so I can make my own putter and I could play at my club level tournaments
Any document so that I can show so that the clubs don’t object
@@anandshah71 i’ll ask

You’re right about the ZAAP. Thanks for the feedback

what about loft/roll i havent seen all your videos but I haven't seen you talk about that
Great idea. I’ve got some thoughts on that give me a couple of weeks

How many pros use the Honu or Lab putter on tour?
A few but very few
Do the Edel putters and Evnrol putters not have the same balance as the Honu and LAB?
No they do not...they are better than most others but they still twist and rotate. L.A.B. has video of those in the device I used in this video.

What is the name of that device? Also, fwiw, I own a Honu and its the best putter ever...in my mind.

If you cannot afford to switch putters a video on how to make best use of a toe hang Anser type putter would be good.
I love my honu putter, I get a lot comments on it. I’m thinking of picking another one in black.

Ok we have Mr. One putt trying to help our fellow golfers enjoy and play better golf and thats what you have to say? Shame on you sir.
