This works very well, the pattern it came with is very accurate I installed an accessable plug in the wall right behind it so I didn't have to use the extension cord that came with it, it's nice and loud and fits perfectly.
From the day I received the Pixel Tablet the kids could not find where it was. They would walk in the room, look around and come back and ask me where it was. They just thought it was a smart speaker display so it sort of is the perfect disguise.
Very clean install. I am looking to do the same. However, I would not trust that magnet on that speaker. Don't know if I would trust them. I would add some Velcro or something. Are they strong? Like when using the tablet on the wallet it doesn't move around or want to fall off?
So far I have been impressed without how strong it is. As long as you are not pressing the tablet hard on the top half while it is mounted it shouldn't be an issue.
Very good video! Thanks! Pixel Tablet is great, i hope Google will continue to upgrade it and make newer versions...i think the Google Home Widget ist now available...?
Hey Brett can u help me?.. When I try to play anything on Netflix with a voice command to my google nest hub or nest mini..my command like this..”hey google..play the stranger from Netflix on my tv.. I get this error reply like this from google “sorry i can play Netflix on android tv yet..trying used remote TV instead”..i want play netfix just used command not a remote..Does this work for anyone else? Remote works, not my Google Home speakers….how to fix that so i can play any movie at netflix only used command…currently only can used command just for hey google open Netflix..for play any movie cannot work…how ya?
Not sure if I want to hang such an expensive device on the wall like that 😏 Also, didn't care for the speaker being embedded in the wall. But the doorbell feature would come in handy if it worked.
Using the case it didn't seem as strong, but other cases using the tablet magnets, which are pretty strong. I might need to do some testing, but making sure it locks on is pretty important.
@@TechWithBrett certainly, that would be an expensive bump if that thing fell off the wall, i do somethign similar with fire tablets since it has built in dashboard, i found these neat 2 stage tablet walll mounts that mount them flush without screws

I like this idea. It makes your home look even smarter.
I was JUST wondering if they had a wall mount for the pixel tablet! Definitely need to get one of these.
I bought it a while ago but finally decided I need to try this thing out. Maybe Google could make a wall dock mount one day, but this worked great.
@@TechWithBrett looks great too! I kind of like the floating off the wall look.
This is what i call genius ideas😮💨
Your videos are amazing, it gives me a lot of inspiration.
And your comment inspires me. Thanks!
Kid: dad, do you know where my tablet is?
Dad: on the wall💀

I can’t seem to find the mount on Amazon any more - would you know where I could get it from??

Thank you. Yes, the Home widget is now available.
What about the constant charging and the battery? Isn't it a problem?
The Tablet is made to do that and there is a mode saver option by default that keeps it charged at 90% to protect the battery.
@@TechWithBrett Thank you 👍

I'm having the same issue. This was a problem years ago but it had been fixed. I'll see what I can find out.
@@TechWithBrett ouh..thank you brett…im wanna turn off/ turn on my tv used command also not working…play/resume/fast foward also 😅
Hey! I just subscribed!
Thank you!
@@TechWithBrett You welcome, this channel helped me out when I got a google home hub a while ago
Also inspired me to use smart lights in my room!
DOPE!!
Does anybody have a solution for a European (real) wall 😅?
😂 Maybe just glue it up there or use adhesive tape.

My kids will put it to the test. I might need to look for a more durable case.
@@TechWithBrett Like a titanium one 😋
i just worry that magnet isnt stronge enought to hold it up

Why does his voice go off when he says hey Google
So it doesn't accidentally trigger Google speakers for viewers
@@bmoc15 oh
Why is nobody talking about how thin that wall is?
Because he stated it was a temporary wall?
It's actually 5/8" drywall, which is pretty thick. But there is a side of the wall missing. I didn't have enough scraps laying around.
To be honest I prefer the Amazon tablet. It it a thousand time better
I will need to fully try that out sometime. Would be nice if they were better with Google services out of the box.
