Henson chatted with “Extra’s” Terri Seymour at the Black Excellence Brunch hosted by founder Trell Thomas celebrating the upcoming release of “The Color Purple.” Taraji opened up about why it was “scary” stepping into the role of Shug Avery to reimagine the classic story. She also clarified comments from her recent Elle interview about retiring.
