In todays trout fishing video, "How to catch multiple TROUT species in different water conditions", I will be fishing at different lakes, targeting several different trout species. The individual lakes all have differing water conditions and the differnt trout species have different eating habits. I will give a full explination on how, when, and where to fish for these trout. Lets see how I did.
In this trout fishing video you will see the techniques I use to regularly catch trout including; how to fish mini jigs, how to fish spoons, how to fish the double dropshot, and tips and tricks for using bait set ups for trout.

Thanks brother 🤘
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors your welcome brother
The hump and teeth on those Kokanee are wild. Great video Rob! Would love to catch multiple Trout species like you did! Utah has some great lakes for sure. Fish on Rob! 🐟🎣
Thanks Paul 🤘
First can’t wait for this haha 🔥🔥🎣
WOW I thought Kokanee were tiny trout like fish !!!!!
Too late this year but I am going there , always seen that sign on I70 Fish Lake !!!
Your vids the best!!!!!
Thanks brother🤘 yeah its crazy but if allowed they can get pretty big for a land locked salmon
Those Kokanee are beautiful! One interesting thing I’ve read is Kokanee while not spawning, usually feed on vegetation or really small bugs, they aren’t predatorial in nature I think? So to catch ‘em, you wanna try to irritate them enough to get em to bite, which I think these mini jigs do!
Definitely could be what was happening
You guys master the jig fishing you should try steelhead fishing with jigs up here in OREGON and Washington
Actually already making plans to head up there in the spring 🤘
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors that awesome I can't wait to meet you guys tight lines
Look up Ray fishing rods or suburban trout spoons u will like em
Nice! Ill check em out 🤘
Great video as always !! Do you think a stocked trout would hit a micro crank bait?
Definitely
Another great video Rob. I am really looking forward to the Mud Hole opening. Not going opening day maybe the Monday after and maybe on Black Friday after Thanksgiving. looking to put the Spartan Minnows to work there.
Hey Rob !..I've got a Daiwa revros LT 3000 -C..is it light enough for trout and the line lbs..ty
A 3000 series is definitely on the big size for trout. You definitely can use it and it will catch trout, especially if you do bait and wait. Typically you want a 1000 series or a 500 series. With the larger stuff youll find it definitely will work but its just not as fun as it overpowers the fish if that makes sense. For line i usually use 4lb mono or 4-6lb fluorocarbon
What are some good lakes in socal for trout? Also some tips for lake Gregory?
I’ll give you some names of lakes but there are alot of variables considering the times of year they are open for trout fishing. Green Valley, Big Bear, Gregory, Silverwood, Hesperia, SARL, Hemet, Cuyamaca, Dixon, Wohlford, San Bernardino County park lakes, and Orange County park Lakes just off the top of my head. As far as Gregory its pretty straight up trout fishing and i cant think of any part of the lake that isnt a good spot. They like spoons and mini jigs there. Greens, blues, orange, yellow, and red are usually good colors. Bait yellows and orange powerbait micetails etc
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors thanks I appreciate it I’ll probably check out hesperia soon.
I need Esteban to put out a fire golden state fishing micro crank so I can buy them all 😂
Interesting Idea 🤘
I’ve been fixating on this idea I bought a bunch off temu looking to try it out at the mud hole Saturday if jigs and minnows aren’t working could be the ticket 😂
@@TrueFishingkingsTFK they definitely work.
Hey rob I’ve always wanted to fish for Kokanee, never knew I could it do only 4 hours away from vegas until I saw this video lol, is there a certain time of year or parts of the lake I should consider?
I typically dont target kokanee. In this video we were at Fish Lake UT and the kokanee were in prespawn so they were all over that intake prepping to make the journey upstream. Most that target them get them trolling using the same gear that you would use for rainbows. Dodgers and bright colored baits like pinks, yellows, orange, etc. They normally suspend further out in the water except during the spawn. Lots of lakes up there and in Northern California hold them
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors you’re the man thanks for the info 🤙🏻
Taking the jig out of the mouth of those kokonee definitely have to watch those razor teeth
Lol yup
