We have been staying in Surfside for last 20 plus years, definitely more family oriented. Have stayed in both condos and houses.

We stay at Tupelo Bay Condos in Garden City. We go to the beach at Surfside because they allow canopies. Have been staying at Tupelo Bay for a long time. Very clean and we feel very safe there. Thank you for your videos. Used to stay in main Myrtle Beach when I was a child. Definitely like Garden City much better. Loved main Myrtle Beach when I was a child. We stayed ocean front approximately where the sky wheel is located now.

Our crew used to stay in the big hotels up at the North end of Myrtle Beach. (Caravelle, Ocean Reef, Long Bay/Grande Cayman), but got tired of the over crowding.
We now stay at Beach House Condos in Garden City. No elevators or on-site restaurants, but we love that there is only a fraction of the number of people. No crowding on the beach. You just have to decide which conveniences are important and which is not.

Thanks for posting. Never actually been there. Looks like a nice area. Looks like the kind of area we would enjoy staying in. However after watching your video I probably wouldn’t attempt biking there.
It's definitely a very relaxing area. My family really enjoys staying there when they come to visit us. It's just not as hectic and there's not as much traffic despite what it looks like!😂 even though there's more traffic I think we both prefer biking Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach better because of the dedicated bike lanes. either way it's still a risk though.
love when you do the run up Garden City to Surfside...we stay at the Surfmaster..love it in that area..will be ther in mid oct

Our friends stayed down in Surfside. If I were young with lids I would probably go but 68 I need breakers!!! Also River City is the best ever
It's nice that there's something for everyone in this area!
As you're cruising up the beach, you should make a right hand turn onto one of the side streets so that you can show your new viewers how close the ocean is and how easy the access is.

Thank you for another video full of good info! My family used to get our Surfside Beach summer rentals through VRBO in the past, with no problems. However, since VRBO merged with Air BnB, I won't use them. I've heard too many nightmares about ridiculous fees, last-minute cancellations and units not being as advertised.
I retired this year and am planning to do a long-term stay in your area next winter. We got our 2025 winter rental at Ocean Place One through Garden City Realty, based on their many positive Google reviews. So far, they've been a pleasure to deal with. They rent in Surfside as well as Garden City.

I love free parking. Last year I paid 28$ for 1.5 hours to explore the boardwalk. I was so scared and rushing to eat at dirty dons the whole time. I would love to see Murrells inlet during happy hour possibly. I’m coming back in 3 weeks from tomorrow. Enjoyed this view and video.

We Love Garden City, Surfside and the inlet! We vacation there every year, and yes Royal Garden has condos. We’ve stayed there, Waters Edge, Atalya Towers and in just a few weeks we will be back and will be staying at a condo at One Ocean Place. Great Video getting excited to come back!

Biking is not allowed on the sidewalks? They seemed to be empty most of the time and more safe.
Depends on the city and location, and whether it's a shared use sidewalk which is a wider sidewalk, but generally it's not permitted. Glad you enjoyed the video!
