Why is he pumping the rear master cylinder and bleeding the front caliper? Isnt the foot for the rear and front master on the right handle bar for the front brakes?
Most motorcycles yes! But these motorcycles have what is called a link brake system. The pedal controls the front left and rear brake, while the handlebar lever only controls front right brake. It is supposed to give you more even braking with this heavy motorcycle. Thank you for the comment!
Haha, the goldwing I am currently doing is the video for you! From new tires, to fixing hydraulic valves, to no compression, to seized starter, etc! It'll be a good one!
I've worked on wings since 75 and (retired 6 years ago) they will usually get 200k miles plus before needing anything other than carb cleaning and tires and tuneup parts. I've only had 2 apart into the cases and even then the rings/valves were in great condition.
All panels off, didnt clean behind any of them, front disc covers off, forks filthy, didnt clean off, just put all the covers back on, not even an oil change, thats not a resto in my opinion.

I'm a tad confused - what part of this video is the Restoration? You got a dirty bike, got it running, gave it a pressure washing, (on the outside only), and took it for a ride out to the local gas station. The bike is still filthy as fuck, there are still obvious parts that need replacing, (which I doubt, because everything tells me you'll flick the bike as soon as possible). So, where is the 'Restoration' part of the video? What did I miss?
I did with an air compressor! this thing has lived in a desert since it was new, so this stuff would have to be power washed, or at the minimum mechanically agitated off. It was for a customer, and he didn't want to pay for the cleaning of that! Plus I was also concerned about the electricals

I know this was months ago, but doesn't restoration include cleaning the bike under the saddle? The thing is filthy and he rushes to put all the plastic back for every minute thing he does. The parts can't handle a million disassembles/assembles without breakage. Why not consolidate a bunch of operation for each area? Maybe this boy thinks a clean restoration only the dirt you can see from the outside? Makes me cringe. Why note take all the panels off, give the underside a good cleaning and survey what may need to be done next? Maybe all he wants to do is take it for ride. Yep, just as I thought bleeds the brakes and slap that cover on it. Saddle bags just full of with dirt. Really looking forward to this series but I can't take it.
