Each bring something amazing to the song. The movie version does amazing representation, intentionally highlighting different trans actors and allowing us to see each of their faces as they tell their story. It also provides a much more realistic sense of virtual community-being able to bond with other queer people despite being far apart. The stage version does a better job of showing the number of people as the community grows and each person steps up. There's just something so powerful about that swell in the music that gives me goosebumps every time they start singing all together. I do think the one thing the stage version does better is Emma's last line. It's so powerful to just see her softly sing that line as everything focuses in on her. You can literally hear someone crying in the recording. The movie cuts away to her hanging up the poster and then ends on the other characters watching the video and it just drifts off when I wish it had left the camera on her to just let us sit in that moment.
hard to compare live -vs- studio. Equally beautiful... All winners, no losers
I always have chills, I love both versions
I think the stage version is great, but I have to go with the movie. So incredible 😍 👏🏻

A Broken Heart
Can I ask where I can watch the full show beside broadway??
Netfilx! This is very late sorry! I thought I replied
I haven't seen the Broadway version, I just seen the film 🎥 I give a point to the film
I think that's fair because I don't think you can truly compare them before you've seen both
