Really fascinating video, I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix-- Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. I want to put in $90k more into the market. I heard people are making really great returns despite the downturn. Any recommendations?
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over $250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
Many people lack this kind of information, which is unfortunate. I understand why some people panic. It can be hard without enough information. I have been earning over $31k passively by investing through an advisor, and it doesn’t take much work. The economy’s performance doesn’t matter; good wealth managers always make profits.

Tai is a seeker, much like myself he missing pieces but living life higher than one could imagine. The hardship is the time it takes and the info pours in dump trucks, it’s so abundant. It’s hard to sort, but our greatest lives are within sharing with others.

Tai talks without actual reference. His narcissist tendencies are bleeding through.
Tai has a lot of certainty, yet rarely backs up his assertions. A 2008 study of 3000 twins showed that only about a third of narcissistic personality was hereditary, most was environment. Dr. Ramany also states that most NPD can be traced to events from childhood. Love to see if he has the actual study that shows 78% is heredity.
he tends to follow single high-quality authors for his domain specific knowledge instead of researching alot in that domain
I haven't looked into what you are talking about, but I do know that NPD and narcissistic personality are different. The idea of NPD being largely hereditary wouldn't suprise me actually, given how exceptionally narcissistic someone needs to be to get a NPD diagnosis. The notion of narcissistic personality traits themselves (outside of clinical NPD diagnosis) is another matter entirely. I could easily see how that could be more nurture than nature.
Tai seems like he has inherited his father’s NPD. Tom was very patient.
NPD is an abbreviation for narcissistic personality disorder, so they’re the same. It’s important to remember that it exists on a continuum. Everyone exhibits narcissistic traits on occasion. The formal diagnosis happens when 5 or more of the traits are exhibited to a testing psychologist or psychiatrist.
I agree with you@@carolynwilson7736 . Tai spent so much time thinking he's so great and could predict everything like some kinda prophet. His need for attention, leading the conversation, and all that grandiose sense of self compared to others was RAMPANT throughout this podcast.

I have been listening to Impact Theory for years and this was the first interview that I did not enjoy watching. Not a really lovable person who does not know how to be interested in and listen respectfully to others opinion. It is a 3h monologue of someone uninterested in a conversation - just pushing his own thoughts as ultimate truth. Lot of ego that is not very attractive. We love you Tom 😊

There is very little to dislike about Tai Lopez - he is open, honest, intelligent and easygoing
I have followed impact theory for a while now. I watch you and your wife Lisa often. This interview was about Tai his perspective and philosophies, , I found his style anxious, desperate and borderline eugenicist. And while his delivery did less for him, it really highlighted your compassion, your empathy, your wisdom, your humility, your deliberate and determined expertise in your field. This is a lesson for young men, I will absolutely have my son listen and watch to learn a valuable lesson from the exchange. Thanks so much for learning, then teaching us all. My son recently finished a classroom project on Mansa Musa, I chuckled as I listened to Tai, try to reference this great Man. Happy New Year to you and Lisa 2024

At the very least, I now grasp the concept of leverage. Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.
Starting early is key to building wealth, and I prioritize investing. Learning from last year's experience, early investments have enabled me to build a suitable life.
I completely agree; I am 60 years old, recently retired, and have approximately $1,250,000 in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, having a portfolio-advisor for investing is genius!

So...I started out with the mindset "ok, let's give this guy a chance".
I'm an hour in, and while I'm now reading "The Denial of Death" (just bought and downloaded it), I'm thinking this f'ing guy is 80% WTAF/STFU and 20% "Hmmm, alright.."
He's definitely his own biggest fan. I couldn't take anymore today. I might come back to this interview, maybe.
Tom's counter was very good to balance it.

He reminds me of my managing director at work, he is 39 years old, makes a lot of money, does not have children, and is clearly his own biggest fan. Maybe that is what Peterson means, when he says, you don't really grow up until you have children?
@@bobby8630 Well...I think it's easiest to see one's most accurate reflection by how we react to the behaviour of others, and retrospectively I see echoes of my own past arrogance in the way he presents himself (I'm assuming due to his relative immaturity, self-justfied by his apparent financial success, seemingly unchecked by his peer group), and while I am also definitely my own biggest fan, I don't think I am above any other human, and believe you can't learn unless you shut your f'ing mouth and **listen** to others. 😂

The Denial of Death is an old book that was super trendy circa 1980. It's also very dated and wrong in some respects, which becomes quite apparent when reading it in 2023. That said, I enjoyed reading it in my early 20s.
the flow of the convo is a little awkward cuz almost every sentence in tai’s convo introduces a new idea or new way to perceive the idea vs Tom takes maybe 3-4 sentences to get to the idea. Not that 1 is better than the other, but seems that’s part of the awkward conversation flow , and Tom shut down but also can’t blame him cuz it’s exhausting to be talked at . Prolly one of those things where 3 speakers does better than 2
Probably not gonna land nicely but as an engineer , tai speaks closer to the fast pace gotta spit out and keep up with evolving ideas much faster than Tom and it is like … Tai is trying to tell Tom to get experience talking to more like … technical or guru or time constrained people … more often … to update a communication habit that lands well with people he’s leading vs being a learner . Probably not a fair assessment but I do think a third person to balance the pace of ideas like in other interviews tai has been on, is a great way to balance hogging the mic with reason
I thought this was one of your greatest interviews.. reminds me of Robin Williams, who takes over the stage… it’s great to see the back-and-forth banter between you two because he can come across as being the omniscient knowing but he makes you think about things… end of the day.. one of the guys that I would want at my table that are living

Such a gift being able to witness conversations like this. Tom packs more erudite subjects and sophisticated thinking into an hour of conversation than my entire circle of friends/family produce in a year.
Looking forward to AI helping move us towards the world where well developed minds are more common; a world where hopefully trauma, nutrition, and mental health play a much less significant role.
I may not know a single person with any interest or insight on any of these subjects, but that doesn't mean I can't have a riveting and edifying conversation with ChatGPT/Bard/Bing/Claude/Pi/Mistral... All of which are available 24/7, never sick, busy, sleeping etc. and any one of which likely already knows more about every single one of these subjects then literally all the smartest people I know combined. It was fascinating to watch such an intellectually stimulating battle. I saw Tom at times surprised by Tai’s solid arguments where initially it looked like Tom initially strongly disagreed with. How do you ultimately make a positive impact on the world? By bringing smart children into this world who will follow into your steps. Also, I noticed how Tom got excited at the example of 73 year old celebrity having a child with 29 year old girlfriend… 😏

Exactly man. I was referring to the stock or crypto market but willing to try out other aspects of the financial market. I’ve made gains from Nvidia and got my eyes on Solana. How do you trade?
Nvidia was superb this year. I hold some stocks and have been profitable. I trade based on the season of the market. It gives me a direction on implementing the right strategies for long or short term. I also trade based on the volatility of the market. Although it wasn’t easy till I came across a mentor who helped to keep me in the market loop. My mentor is Bernard Paul.
Paul is also my mentor. I’ve gained valuable insights from Paul and learnt about taking effective trade execution, optimising entry and exit points for better profitability
Ever since I met Paul, I’ve learnt how to manage risks effectively using his firm ensuring a balanced and successful trade.

I'm sure he know's his stuff, but I really get the impression that he would have been very comfortable as a tarot card "psychic". He've very proud of the things he "knows" he would have predicted. I'm seeing the rise of the classic sci-fi trope of the Techno Psychic. The fanatical belief that certain sciences can predict a person's future or proper place. It may come to pass but I'm sure it will only be accessible by exteamly advanced AI. But good on him for finding his niche.
I don’t know this guy very well, but I do know he likes to hear himself talk. It’s very courteous that he’s not willing to let Tom present his point of view. I really got tired of listening to him.🤨

Money to me primarily means one thing and one thing only: Security/Safety. And i have a *hunch*, that this is how "money is power" came into being too: If one can use money to modify reality, it is used to improve security/safety one way or another (bribe the cops to look the other way, pay the opponent not to attack, buy weapons to protect yourself, have money to be able to roam freely, whatever...) Some try to buy happiness, but (literally) miserably fail. So yeah: Money is a facilitator, but imo the use (or the goal it is put forward to for that matter) is rather limited eventually.
I thought I was going to be watching Tom, but it turned out to be SNL! It features a new character called “The Interrupter” and proves that narcissistic personality disorder is, in fact, heritable and people are unaware of things about themselves that others find obvious. Tom is an amazing actor, never once losing his composure no matter how many times this clown tries to tell him that he’s not who Tom knows he is. Based on his “cold reading” of Tom as being “low anxiety” and Tom telling him (as he has said repeatedly on the podcast) that he is high anxiety, it certainly brings into question is big skill of “cold reading” people. He changes the definition when he’s wrong and tries to convince people they are what he says. This guest brought his mother…was that a first? Tom, you have superhuman patience!
