similar case for me. but i started learning Japanese for fun, which turned into wanting to work in japan. but after many educational videos about japan's work environment, i decided against it. it's kind of sad, i was a year of learning in. It will probably continue, but i lost my primary motivation. started thai now - but i have yet to discover much about thailand. only know it through tv shows.

Can't imagine 44 consonants + the vowels with different shapes and sounds i find it really hard to study thai language😭😭 unlike English alphabet only 26

gotta say Korean is for sure the easiest to learn compared to Japanese and Thai.
just to add something about what Cameron Caneda said, korean its the easier of the three, and you can learn in a sequence of easyness, like first korean then japanese then thai. i did it but just korean and thai, now im trying put chinese and thai in the same level cause they have the tone thing. anyways, just learn it you won't regret it.

Well I am going through several videos of the channel to give a commentary of my learning over 6 months, I like to write the letters in Thai the only thing the pronunciation is similar but I like the intonation.

No estoy aprendiendo tai,pero es interesante conocer un poco su idioma.
The first two alphabets sound the same like the first two alphabets of Bangla. We start with ko and kho. Much like ko kai and kho khai. That's cool!

Hello po.. Just want to ask the difference of ข, ฃ, ค, ต.? They are KH.. But I don't know when to use each of it. Same with S ( ส, ษ, ศ, ซ) CH (จ, ฉ,ช, ฌ) TH (ฐ, ฑ, ฒ, ท, ธ, ถ)
- ข ฃ is the same sound. They are KH sound but in high tone.
- ค ฅ is the same sound. They are KH sound but in low tone.
** And we don't use ฃ ฅ anymore
- ส ษ ศ is the same sound. They are S sound in high tone. ( ซ S sound in low tone )
- ฐ ถ is the same sound. They are TH sound in high tone ( ฑ ฒ ธ TH sound in low tone )
- ช ฌ is the same sound. They are CH sound in low tone ( ฉ CH sound in high tone ) ** จ i think is like a J sound.
- How to use alphabet the same sound or similar sound you need to remember only...
**For example พื้นฐาน (Phụ̄̂nṭ̄hān) , สถาน (S̄t̄hān) they sound " t̄hān " same but write different .

i think it’s just memorisation. Kind of like how we have multiple sounds for a the same letter or letter phrase, they have the same sound for multiple letters. For example in English, cough, through, though and thought all have the ough letter phrase in them but it’s just a memory game of remembering what word sounds like what.
Who ever knows Bengali it will be easy for them because the sounds of the thai alphabet is absolutely same as bengali alphabets like they all sound alike just the alphabet patterns are different it's really fun for me to learn thai alphabets as I'm a bengali because i know all those sounds 😄
so i have this thing that i couldnt understand in Thai and it may be because im...dumb ahaha but i need to ask it.
lets say we write good in english we just write g-o-o-d right? and if in thai gaw equals g are we using gaw to write the beggining of good or am i just too dumb and missing something bc like idk i mean every word can has different writings in different languages obv. but how we use g??

I dont get it like, the first alphabet you say, kho - khai, does that vowel has double pronounciation? And the others too , what is kho and khai is that both the pronunciation of the 1st vowel?

I am surprised to see that in our tai ahom language we also called 𑜀 (ka) 𑜀𑜩 which means cock.and other words are also similar like khuwai means buffalo 😃😃.

This is very similar to Bengali alphabetical sounds.. But with repeatation. In Bengali that ছ is written as 'chh'..
