Let's Learn Thai with Kanitsa
Thank you. I am learning slowly and I mean slowly.
This is an excellent video! I will probably have to watch this about 1000 times slowly learn how to read Thai. Right now I’m very busy man but I will get there soon!
Its very informative thank you so much.❤❤🙏
สปิ๊กไทยของคุณดีมาก

I want to meet you
You are so very good person
Can't wait for part 3
It's coming on Monday :)
You know...I am Bengali. Thai is also originated partially from Sanskrit. Sanskrit is also at the base of Bengali. So the sounds are kinda similar to Bengali alphabets.
@@ap240 sorry I don't. I didn't get to learn all the alphabets because all of their videos aren't available. I really want to learn in from some sort of institute

Sawaddee krub, Teacher. 🙏🏻 🙋🏻♂️ I have a question. Are the letters of the Thai 🇹🇭 alphabet being pronounced by name with just 1 syllable or 2 syllables? My American ears 👂🏻 👂🏻are hearing 2 ✌🏻syllables per letter pronounced. Also, is there just 1 sound per letter or does each letter have 1 long sound and 1 short sound? (I don’t know if you understand the long and short sounds of 1 letter in English. I can further explain. I’m a French teacher.) Khob khun krub, Teacher. 🙏🏻
Hi, in Thai language, there could be 2 sounds for 1 letter. For example, ค sounds like 'k' / 'c' (like king, cat, etc.) when it's the beginning consonant, but when ค is the ending consonant, it sounds 'g' / 'k' (like bug, luck, etc.). However, there's no short and long sounds for the letters. Sounding short or long would depend on the vowels that used.
When I first listen to thai alphabet I was also confused and thought why it is so complicated and long. But later I found out that actually the alphabet is the one that is pronounce first and the later is the word which contain the alphabet. Eg: ก ko kai. Kai = chicken. It is like a for apple in english. I think this is what you mean by 2 syllables. 😅
I think the reason is there are so many homophone in thai alphabet so when we mention kho for example people wont know which kho we are talking about.
Darian Protho Sawaddee krub 🙏🏻. Darian, the “‘a’ for ‘apple’” analogy is very helpful. Khob khun krub.
@@matthewjay660 you are welcome🙏😃

Coming :)
@@letslearnthai thank you ;))
How do you type no-nen and Tho-phu-thao. I can't see them in my Android keyboard....
ณ is at 'i' and ฒ is at ',' on my laptop keyboard. But on Android, you need to click shift before.
@@letslearnthai Thank you so much! I got it 😁😁😁

The letter ก It's the one I've learned the fastest, it always reminds me that it looks like a rooster 😅
Same sounds 😭
Teacher. I have a question why is it theres a lot of sh d k, etc? Unlike the eng alphabet one each sound. Whats the difference? Na na? 555. Chan rak! 🥰😘
They have the same sound but are written differently and being used in different words kha
@@letslearnthai Now I know. I have learned simple phrases and simple writings now. 55555. Im so excited for more lesson. 🥰🥰 Khob khun naaaa Kroo Puiii! 😘
This is really complicated for an English speaker. The alphabet seems to assume a language fluency. The letters are related to nouns.
@@rablrabl9587 What-choo-talkin-bout-willis?
why do they all sound like "t" 😭
Tou Putao has a nice buttom!
