Border Collies are amazing. I used to have a Border Collie-mix named Cammie. I recall one day walking into the backyard with intentions of going to the shed. My mind was on other things at the time. The next thing I knew Cammie had herded me to the opposite direction that I meant to go. It was the corner of the yard where she and my other dog (Boxer named Kane) would use as a bathroom. It was Cammie's way of telling me to get to work. I felt both a bit dumb for getting herded by her but I also impressed. Cammie was also key to teaching Kane all the house rules when he was a pup. Border Collies are really impressive dogs.
It's difficult to appreciate what Border Collies can do with a herd unless you see them really working out in a pasture environment. Well trained Border Collies are amazing working animals. One Border Collie can herd hundreds of sheep even without human commands or assistance.

Wow! Sheepherding on late night TV!? You're not going to get that on late night TV anymore. The current late night guys are just too busy being political and boring to do anything that Dave used to do.

'Wouldn't it just be easier if we taught the Sheep how to herd themselves" No Dave..that implies a simple solution. We live in a world where we must outsource,and pay researchers, and focus groups, and think tanks. Asking to get to the root of the problem from the start is just not the kind of forward rightful thinking this world can stand lol.
Sheep aren’t capable of herding themselves anyway. Lol.
