This is so much better than the 1989. If you've seen Ultrazilla's cop;y, the face falls off of his face. This guy's face doesn't fall off. This is also the best representation of the 2003 Godzilla. Neca 1989 doesn't even compare to the monsterarts version.
@@burningfury4065 Unfortunately, NECA wasn't actually going for the BioGoji water suit. It's just a coincidence that they ended up sculpting the back of his head weirdly, so it resembles the water suit. I love NECA and their sculpts, but I don't like people justifying the figure's flaws by saying that it was based on a variation of the suit that took up little screen time and wasn't a significant part of the movie. Nothing against you, though.

Don't you have a revoltech figure of either Eva Unit 01 or 02? If so then maybe you should do a height comparison between this Godzilla and one of the Eva Units.

I was surprised they didn't release a Kiryu, seemed like it'd be the perfect match.The shoulder pads do look a bit weird, its like you could only pose it arms down. Looks like a pretty good face sculpt though

i mean all neca charactors have flaws but with the shoulders on this it could have been better but i bealive the reason why they did this with the neck was beacuse his neck doesnt move in the movies or the desired look is only acheiveable on necas level by making his neck fused like that or they just did it to save money beacuse the figure is above average size and material quantity
This is a great figure. I find 89 better, but 2003 is still fan-freaking-tastic. I will say he has smoother articulation and better looking paint. 89 though has more range, comes with a beam and has a better sculpt, dare I say it's better than the SHMA KKK 89. it's pretty close to the size, comes with something, has better paint and is worth your buck than average paint and a gimmick that can be... well gimmicky. sculpt is the only thing I'd say SHMA has, but that's it. overall, NECA really hit it outta the park and went out with a bang
Lots of broke asses have this 2003 Goji in thier top 3-4 NECA collection overall, based on a broke - ass finally getting these type back plates! We believeth in him, & the facehugger bonus mashupeth, NECA saw fit to include on his chest, as well "thank you"! As for posing our Lord to help hide his flawless shoulder flaws, it still isnt as noticeable as the canyon like gaps, in 3x more expensive S.H.MonsterArt Gojis crotch areas. CANYONAROOoO!! :D

The 89 is based on the water suit. I don’t like the 2003 incarnation of Godzilla so I like the 89 more
