My father was in the Indian army, Corps of Engineers for 32 years and my grandfather was also the same. I have grown up in an Army family. It was a great life for us. However, the life we had was very different from the civilian life that was difficult to adjust to after marriage etc. There is a certain sense of nationalism and acceptance that I grew up with, is very different from others. We never had parochial hang ups. No religious hang ups. Everyone was in the army, period. Also we went to army schools where majority of the children were not officers kids, but soldiers’ who came from villages and whose parents, especially mothers weren’t always educated and spoke only their local language. This sort of enabled us to accept people from all backgrounds. My civilian friends grew up with a stronger regional sensibility and pride while as we grew up with a national sensibility and pride. My father fought in three Indo-Pak wars.

As far as I know, America has never experienced any invasion. American Soldiers are mostly used to invade other countries. That's why I think that Civilian-Military bond is missing. India has gained Independence fighting very hardly. So we don't want to compromise our sovereignty anymore. Besides, we have a very hostile neighbor who is sponsoring terrorism. Our Soldiers protect us from these dangers. We strongly feel about our Soldiers.

The song is about Badluram who died during WW2 but the quartermaster forgot to remove his name from ration supplies list. Later japanese forces laid siege to the indian position and waited for supplies to run out. The Indians soldiers were able to defend their post for a month by surviving on rations collected in Badluram's name and live out the siege. The song is dedicated to Badluram who after his death saved his regiment and defeated a Japanese invasion in North East India. The tune is from an American song from the civil war period. The Indian army is considered to be the fourth strongest army and the third largest army. During the world wars , we were considered the largest volunteered army at that time. We have severed more peaceful missions then any other country in the world by the United Nations. Our first peace keeping mission was during the Korean War , where India sent a medical unit, the 60th Para Field Ambulance, to render assistance to those injured in the war. The unit consisted of 346 personnel and served in the Korean theater for three and a half years. It provided assistance to 200,000 wounded and carried out 2,300 field surgeries. Later, as fighting was subsiding in 1953, India sent 6,000 soldiers to form the Custodian Force India (CFI), which was tasked with looking after prisoners of war (POWs) and resolving the issue of their repatriation. In addition to contributing personnel, India played an important role in seeking to resolve the war at a political and diplomatic level. Two basic imperatives guided India’s stand on the war. The first pertained to containing the war and not allowing it to escalate. There were many events that served as catalysts for escalation, such as the crossing of the 38th parallel by the North Korean forces, the appointment of General Douglas MacArthur - who had a reputation for being an aggressive commander with a penchant to take the fight to the enemy camp - as commander-in-chief of the UN forces, the crossing of the 38th parallel by the UN forces in October 1950 despite warnings by the Chinese, the crossing of the Yalu river by Chinese forces in November that year, and their subsequent crossing the 38th parallel in December 1950. India strove to prevent any of these dangerous developments from providing an excuse for the belligerents to do further harm and reduce the space for compromise and moderation. India has sent their forces for the good of human kind way before Indian independence. One example would be when the ottoman Turks , the Germans , the Hungarians and the Austrians invaded a port city in Israel called Haifa. The Indian forces fought hard against the enemies with just a sword and spears while they were on their horses. While the enemies has machine guns and etc. This war was called the battle of Haifa in world war 1.
I love Indian Army. All Indian Army Ads are very inspiring and it's based on true events. Whenever I see an Indian Army or any Soldiers I feel very proud and respectful of them. Sye raa trailer is out
The Indian army is considered to be the fourth strongest army and the third largest army.

Our soldiers have also made Three foot-over-bridges in Elphinstone Road-Parel, Mumbai, 2018 and the work on the bridge was completed in a record time of 117 days.
