Evolving My Massive 170 Gallon Monstera Fish Tank After One Year - Detailed Process

- After 1 year, I redesigned my 170 gal / 650-liter monstera aquarium a bit. Many of you suggested that sand would look better in the foreground, so I replaced the plants with a small sandy area. You were right, it does indeed look much better this way. Check out the process in my video, where I share a lot of information with you.

I thought it looked beautiful with the grassy foreground, but indeed the sand did brighten it up and added interest. Very beautiful tank and garden!!
I hoped to see angelfish. 😢
@thecinescaper what are the tank dimensions? Thanks
this is one of the most beautiful aquariums i have ever seen, especially the plants outside of the water
Thank you🙌🤩
A year passed ?!
I can't forget the moment i was watching this setup for the first time. Keep up the good work man, you're a legend .
Wow. Every time I come back to this channel, you're designing things that are amazing!
It must be amazing sitting in front of a tank that size!
Naaa! No Kevin, no Bruce, no crabs 🦀
@@IamBraadsAre you stalking me?! 🤣Also why no mention of Byron? 👀
@@IndoorEcosystem Just the same hobby and too much time (sometimes) 😄 But wait, who is Byron? What did I miss? I'll have to research that right away.
@@IamBraadsYou and me both! 😅He's over on Instagram. Kevins brothers cousin you follow?!
Beautiful tank, and awesome videography as always!
Thanks! :)
The tank looks so much more vibrant ❤
Beautifully done 😊😊😊
Thanks! 🙌
@@TheCineScaper you are welcome 🤗
The tank looks amazing so do the fish. You made that heavyweight maintenance look easy!
Magnificent tank. It looks so natural.
That is one of the most beautiful setups I think I've ever seen 👏🤩
Thanks🤩
That monstera is awesome!
Looks awesome l thanks for the little tips
Wonderful job
I am so jealous on that tank.
You just made me forget my problems for 10 minutes. Love watching you, a master. Thank You.
I’m really happy! Thank you!🙌
Amazing
Feel bad for that Angel Fish. Looks like the Tiger barbs have been having a go. Incredible aquarium. New subscriber. Learned lots. Thank You.
Thank you and welcome! You don't need to worry about the angelfish. They've been hiding so far; I've hardly seen them. I haven't noticed the tiger barbs bothering the other fish; they're pretty chill.
such a beautiful view..love from INDIA😍😘
That’s a masterpiece man, one of the finest looking aquariums I’ve ever seen
gorgeous tank! and gotta love the tiger barb for knowing his cue.....incredible timing with that shot!
Wow, what a beautiful set up. Very inspiring.
I preferred it before the sand, but still an amazing scape
Wonderful..!!!! 👍
It’s beautiful! I absolutely love it with the sand!
Nice change…. It’s always cool to see your videos! Thanks for sharing
Great work
Very nice man 🤙
Goated scaper!
Large and planted tanks, with small fish, are natural looking and are 'ethical' . Pool sand/play pit sand seems a fine medium for many plants in my experience and the aesthetics are better than the soil and gravel piled up against the front glass.
Excellent, thank you.
Nice tank update
LOVE LOVE The Cine Scaper
Love it❤
Man watching this in person will be absolute honor ❤
My god what an amazing tank... Keep the good work!
Nice tank & your fish look really healthy
Really nice 🎉❤
Thank you🙌
Oh my goodness, this is so inspiring ! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful, what a fun hobby!
Yeah, Love it 🤩
@TheCineScaper I love the natural landscape. I just put in a 2000 gallon pond in my back yard. I love the enjoyment and relaxation I get from it. Keep up the amazing posts!
🙌
Beauty thanks for the journey
Great job!
Great video. Peaceful
Black Angel fins? Sumatra Barbs? Congrats. But Tank look beautiful.
Yeah thats not a great combination. Tank is awesome, very natural
Super vidéo, merci à vous!
Looks amazing, love how chill all your videos are. Have you thought about drying out the monstera leaves that you cut and using them as botanicals in your tanks? I know not all leaves are safe to use in this way so would need to do some research but it would be a very cool texture to have down on the substrate.
I love the jungle vibe of this tank. Looks like there were some glowlight tetras in there as well, no?
Lovely ❤
Epic Video
get black ruby barbs isntead of tiger barbs perhaps?
they are much more peaceful and extreamely vibrant than tiger barbs
gorgeous tank btw
We want a betta tank (again) heavily planted ☘️
love all your video
Bravo from Romania Dracula land ❤🎉
🙌
Beautiful! It's difficult to see without closeups but it looks like your monstera have thrips 😢
Can you show a little bit more about the filter inflow and outflow placement for this tank?
Very nic😊😊😊😮
Angelfish have ben biten alot by the tigerbarbs
Congrats! This is stunning, as everything you make, basically... 😅😊
Where did you get those nice bamboo stems from?
Wow the amount of ammonia and nitrate you stirred up, I hope you don’t have sensitive shrimps and fishes.
the tip of the bambú is great … tanks…
classics
👌
Your angelfish looks ill, it looks like it's fins are melting. Beautiful tank.
B e a u t i f u l
Beautiful. Do you use co2 on these tanks?
What did you plant your big plants in, is it directly in your sump? I am really struggling to keep the half submerged plants alive, not sure what I am doing wrong, could it be that my setup is too new?
I didn’t see any shrimp or snails ? Did you not add any ? And if not why?
Also have you been treating the tank with anything ?
Was that dwarf sag that you removed from the aquarium?
I follow you in instagram, I always show my mom pictures of your tank she loves all the plants growing out of it. She wants me to grow a monstera out of one of my tanks but none of them have enough space above the tank for one of those giants
🙌
Lovely tank as usual. Why do you only feed your fish every other day? I feed my fish every day. Please reply.😊
Wunderbar ❤
Ich liebe deinen Kanal , leider ist er ohne Untertitel ☹️
Sorry mate :/
Why didn’t you siphon out the substrate? 🤦🏻♀️
Do you have a link for the pool filter sand?
I bought it in OBI store, in Europe.
Why do you feed this tank every 2 days while you feed the Dream tank daily?
3th comment from Bangladesh 🥰🥰
The Angelfish is getting beat up by the Tiger barbs.Beautiful tank otherwise.
I said the same thing, I was surprised it was in there
i put soil under my sand , i would not have disturbed the soil , just added sand on top
I can’t believe you kept the fishes in there while cleaning it.
Why didn't you go Rimless here?
Sand with no water filtration through it and you are asking for a zero oxygen environment. Look out for Cyanobacteria.
How do you mean ‘through it - like an under-gravel filter? Nearly all of aquariums I’ve ever seen use sand straight on the bottom, even Amano, sometimes to cap soil admittedly but that eventually creates a big mess and is hard to maintain.
Do what my wife does and never water the monstera...seems to work.....
Be careful the stones will increase your hardness and lock your PH high
The sap of a monstera is poisonous
Why ruin a perfectly good grown in tank? Once it’s finally grown in and became an ecosystem you get bored and change it…
While I've also grown a peace lily to monstrous proportions, I'm just now trying a couple monstera & a couple of crotons (Zanzibar) for some more texture & color. ^^
Beautifully ❤❤
