  • Today I’m opening up a brand new 250 string of Twinkly smart lights to put on our Christmas tree. I’ll show you how to use the app, connect them to Wi-Fi, select effects, download effects, use the FX creator, update the firmware, map the lights you just put on your tree, and give you a demo. This video is also a great way to see what 250 lights look like on a 7’ tree so you can decide which size set of lights to buy. Take a look and hopefully we can help you avoid any frustration with your awesome new Christmas decoration! #twinkly #twinklyhowto #twinklychristmas #christmassmartlights #twinklysetup #twinklytree #twinklyschristmastree #twinklymapping #smartchristmaslights

Welcome to Jackula’s Castle! My family has been collecting, traveling, and doing crazy stuff for years. We’ve had such a great time doing it all I think it’s time to let everyone else join in the fun. Watch us open Pokémon and other trading cards, play video games, decorate for Halloween, open toys, grow our Star Wars collections, build legos, add monsters to our Universal Monsters room, Travel, Eat and Who knows what else! Maybe we’ll even meet some families as weird as ours along the way!

I bought a 4-foot tree for my apartment last November and plan on getting the 250 for this Christmas. Seeing how good they look on your 7-footer, I have no doubt that they should light up mine quite nicely! Thanks for the video!

Glad it helped, thanks for watching! I was really surprised how much a string of 250 will light up, I didn’t think it would be nearly enough

Really nice. Pleasantly surprised at how great it looks without a zillion lights on the tree.

I was too, I had my doubts when I was putting them on but I was really impressed with how well it covered! Thanks for watching!

I think it was a Fraser fir but it’s been so long I’m not 100% sure

So, did you get more Twinkly for this year? I just bought 3 packs of the 250 pack and wanted to see how you actually wrap them around the tree? The two connected strings are coming from the same source. Did you split them and individually wrap each of the 125 (do 1 line then run the other) or did you wrap them at the same time (sort of parallel to each other)? Hope this makes sense. Nice vids btw.

Hahaha well I did buy some more for the tree but I ended up using them in the yard instead. Maybe next year! I wrapped one half from the bottom up and then did the same with the other. It doesn’t really matter though because when you map them the app will learn the position of each lightbulb so they don’t actually have to be in any order when you put them on. I hope that helped a little. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
