Marc Brown is the best!!!
He not the best, he is the god
He seems like a genuinely nice guy. Like the exact kind of person I’d expect someone that wrote these books to be.
True. (Unlike Ted Geisel.)
He sincerely is as lovely as he is here. I emailed him late one evening to thank him for everything and asked a couple of questions for advice. He emailed me the next morning a very heartfelt response in return. 😊
Arthur and little bear computer games is what I grew up on!
I am 27 years old and I still watch Arthur! It has been one of my favorite shows as a kid. It was so authentic and love how relatable it is to real life. Not like shows now are all fantasies. Thank you Marc Brown!
I wish I could thank this man for giving one of the best books, video games, and tv shows that crafted my childhood
Oh my his home is GORGEOUS!!
Did not realize just how much Marc Brown actually based Arthur on himself and his own childhood. Tbh, I really did not know much about the guy until only recently. Other than that he wrote & illustrated the Arthur books and is originally from PA (which is where I’m from too). I became more interested in wanting to learn about Marc Brown more after the series finale of Arthur aired this past year. I especially loved how they even had a crossover with Marc Brown & Arthur together in the library in this episode, that was so cool!
My kids loved "Arfur," and I loved reading the stories to them! Great segment--thanks.
Arthur was a part of my childhood. Top 3 tv show of my childhood. I would love some of those artworks. Im not a rich young man. But id help you get rid of some of those pieces :)
An idea for his artwork from Arthur is to put it in a museum. His work is history of children’s television and he can choose to where to send it out. Sesame Street did that for the many developments of the Muppets. Why can it not be possible?
Marc brown is the best writer's ever live
So this is what Arthur money looks like. Very cool
It would be 10X that if Arthur was on Nickelodeon and not PBS.
@@joeybaseball7352 In that case, Nickelodeon would be making that money, not Marc Brown. When Nick buys your show, they buy the entire intellectual property, then they rake in the profits and tell you to hit the road. Look at what happened to John Kricfalusi, he created "Ren and Stimpy" and Nickelodeon fired him, but they continued making money off the show.
Marc Brown was smart because he still owns the entire "Arthur" franchise (PBS merely has rights to air the show), so he still profits from everything.
@@Felamine you still get royalties every time the show airs. And how many times you get paid depends on what your roles are. Like someone like Seth MacFarlane gets paid as the creator, writer, producer, and actor. So essentially he gets paid 4 times each time they air one of his shows.

4:02 That's the VHS cover design for Arthur’s Perfect Christmas
His first book “Arthur’s Nose” was published in 1976.
Wow that younger version of Marc Brown is very handsome !
We LOVE Arthur!
I would love to own something he handdrawn.
Is no one gonna mention how Marc looks like Arthur's dad?
Before the final season.
