Just got the 990 pro with heatsink 4tb for my ps5. Works flawless!!
I did too last week & I absolutely love it.
Did it fit OK? Doesn't the heatsink make the drive bigger? LengthxBreadth wise

How much did you get it for? And did it need to be updated with a computer.
@9to5techs Got it for around €300,- I did not update it because the manufacturing date was really close to when I got it. Even tho might be handy to update it anyways. Anyhow to this day I have installed around 60 titles running whitout any issue.

I have 75 games downloaded with 156.4 GBs left of space on the M.2.
The full 568.4 GBs of console storage is still untouched. I can probably fill up both storage spaces with about 80-85 games.
Just bought the 4tb 990 Pro from Best Buy today and are transferring 2tb of games now! Product was easy to install but taking off the PS5 shell was the biggest pain. Jon-
Can you take the heatsink off? And does this drive with heatsink fit under the boards that come with heat sinks already on them?
looks like you can based off the 4 screws in the corner, maybe you can get one without it?

Just need a small Phillips it’s four small screws
But it voids the warranty because there’s a sticker you have to remove
What a magnificent SSD with the Samsung seal of reliability, Dario, have you already brought PCIE 5.0? I think about buying an MSI Spatium M570 in the future, my MOBO supports it.

I bought a samsung 990 pro with heatsink, and a NewQ external enclosure, but the 990 pro with heatsink does NOT fit into the NewQ enclosure! I am very upset about this. I have a new Macbook Pro with an M3 Max chip. It has several Thunderbolt 4 ports, so I'm trying to find a Thunderbolt 4, type C enclosure that will handle up to 40gps (the fastest enclosure possible) that will also fit this drive. Does anyone know what enclosure will definitely fit this drive?

@@stephencawker1565 Thanks - I returned the 990 Pro with Heat Sink, to the seller, and got the 990 Pro without heat sink and put it into the NewQ 40gbps External enclosure with no trouble. It is consistently operating at 3100Mpbs.

I have a 2tb Samsung 990 pro and I've never seen temperatures go above 50 Celsius.
Without the heatsink? Because I still think that motherboard passive heatsink cools a bit better.
@@PCCrazyDario oh the motherboard has a heat sink for it. In fact my motherboard has a special slot for in that. Asus Impact DTX something something.
i have 990 Pro 4TB on my Asus X670e Hero board and i cant go above 6500mb Read i dont know why
and i did update it from Samsung Magican App
