      The Royal Marines are a prime example of British values and strength, Scotland is apart of that and helped build it, thankfully our differences were put to the side and the bigger picture was a adressed and so this United Kingdom lives on with Scotland apart of it.

    • @johngilboy253
      @johngilboy253 9 лет назад +20

      Ellis Wood What argument do you have that shows that they are not the best? They currently have longest and most grueling basic training of any NATO force, it being thirty two weeks long. Which is twenty weeks longer than that of the United States Marine Corps, then a commando can go onto either being light infantry or continue training onto a technical trade, a mechanic or a medic for example.
      I don't know what nationality you are, I suspect American due to their constant poking for arguments by trying to comment on the British Armed Forces. Therefore I would like to point this out, if you are; The US Navy Seals, are trained from the ethos of the Royal Marines and the training itself is based on a Royal Marine training handbook. So, if you think about it. Our Royal Marines are your Special Forces. Please don't try to spike an argument when you do not know the facts.

    Totally covered in goosebumps watching this short video of an amazing existence, and throughout battles fought by the best Marines anywhere in the world, The Royal Marines. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧
    I have so much pride watching this, it's bringing close to tears.
    My biggest regret is my life taking a bad turn, and get it back on track, and never doing what I've always loved and wanted to do, and that's joining the Royal Marines.
    Too old now, trying to get to Ukraine but having problems making it a reality.
    The love I have for my country and for those I could've called my brother will always be there, whether I fight or had fought with them side by side or not, because it's in the heart and mind, that's can't ever be taken away from anyone, especially an Englishman, a True Brit. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
    Please help any benevolent fund helping past servicemen/women for the courage and bravery they've shown as well as the respect they so rightly deserve.

      lennert 😭😭 but the usmc is better overall as branch and that is a fact. The us Marine Corp is a major arms branch while the Royal Marines are not they are a special operations branch specializing in different things then the Marine Corp and not only that if the two branches went to war with each other right now the usmc would win simply due to the fact that we have more men power with decent training and a lot of them combat veterans and the resources to stretch out the war, and did I forget to mention our own private airforce. I love the Royal Marines but they aren’t better then the usmc and that’s a fact. You guys are more like navy seals and aren’t equipped to go to war as the usmc are.

      Luisito Santiago As a hopeful future Royal Marine I respect that. The USMC has a much higher budget and is like a stronger more looked after and better equipped version of the army. Whereas the Royal Marines are less in number and budget but are individually stronger. Both are equally as strong but just in different departments.

    ok so you seem too think that the only beach that wasn't run by the yanks and brits was a Canadian which the brits where still
    involved with. than maybe you can tell me why no Canadian war history book says that brits where there in numbers other than
    landing craft personnel. also you use footage which includes yanking troops. Now i love being British my mum's Family is from
    Grantham and Frieston.
    now the only footage i have ever seen which shows brits and Canadian's on the same beach is the longest day.
    i own the longest day anniversary something edition and it pisses me off that a hollywood movie says brits and Canadian's
    where on the same beach.
