i was reading about Japanese writer Ryunosuke Akutagawa to find out Yasushi is his son.
the music is so dark yet powerful
A grest writer indeed.
What a family then !
Like Ryunosuke´s short stories.
There something which remembers Schnittke's music in a more regular and less chotic way. It is a very peculiar personal expression of some inner darkness. The composer takes care to make his music (and his inner feelings through it) efficient for listeners. The work is tonal, as we can hear in the final cadence.
Genuine touch of tragedy landscape- extraordinary piece. Thank you.
This is so unnerving, and so beautifully orchestrated
Thank you Wellesz Theatre. This composition held my attention from beginning to end. A very tasty piece. The flavor is Japanese Bartok.
More akin to the Japanese Shostakovich, in my opinion...
I love this music.
Nice and dark, the way I like it.
Great! Fantastic finale, and nice touch, the harpsichord! Thank you so much for sharing the music of this very interesting composer!
Beautiful stirring music. Strong throughout. Very exciting and entertaining. Fantastic work, wonderfully played.
I've been aware of Japanese classical composers for some time but my interest has been reawakened recently. This is a fine piece. Along with Toru Takemitsu, I'll be checking out more of this composer's music. Thanks for posting it.
Really a wonderful Concerto, thanks a lot Wellesz!!!
Thank you for this wonderful discovery.
This music is Japanesque.
This composer,s father is Japanese famous genius author .
From Tokyo in the dizzying megalopolis ablaze with neon
Y'all Japanese sure love the harpsichord for some reason.
Thank you, sincerely.

Really nice, thanks a lot!!
thanks a lot from italy
thank you!
Fantástico.
excellent!
I'll be listening to more :-O
So I want to ask Wellesz Theatre, if there is any piece of 20th century music that you have not posted?
I can not remember it anymore. I lost count of the pieces after over six thousand videos, not even remember how many I deleted youtube ...
Very Inuyasha at the start
