Thank Stewart for these great videos. They are so detailed and helpful. I've been looking at getting a PSR e463 or the Casio CT x3000 to help me with the music I put on my channel. The Casio looks like the best choice for music creation. Thanks so much👍
Wow! Thanks for the support and encouragement - much appreciated. I'm glad there's still a need for the community to fathom out this keyboard! All the best.
omg! Thanks SO much! I can use this for a complete band accomp. (recorded first 8 bars of Broken Wings by Mr. Mister just now) But now i need to know how to copy to variation 2, 3 etc , edit them and make fills!!!!! If you can help me, you are a hero!!
I have experimented with using only DSP tones and it appears they all stay in tact when used on the bass and chord parts of a USER rhythm. It did do something strange when I got to Chord 4, but when I played it all back after recording it seemed to revert to the DSP tones. I used only USER tones that I had created. If you dive into a pre-set rhythm then all parts can appear have DSP tones. Let me know if you discover anything - the manual doesn't give any clues either!
@@StewartWallaceSJWMusic I have a CT-X5000 . I encountered this problem when I was composing my own song in a midi recording. I used standard tones with DSP and custom ones that I created. After recording three or more DSP tones, on some of them DSP effects are disabled, and on some it becomes impossible to add reverb, chorus and delay. I don't speak English very well, so I use a translator. Sorry)). When I get to my synthesizer, I will be able to explain in more detail the essence of the problem with the indication of DSP tones.
@@trushinmisha No problem - the translation is very understandable! I have found when recording songs around 4 DSP tones will work, but after that things get unpredictable. I haven't noticed the reverb, chorus and delay issues you mentioned. Recording the audio directly into a DAW would solve the problem, and then it's more flexible for further FX and mixing. The onboard sequencer is really only a useful sketch pad if you can't link up to a PC. All the best. Stewart
Yep. It's relatively straight forward. Just download and install it by following the instructions in the update manual - everything's available here: support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=2225 You will need to unzip the file and then save it onto the USB drive. Before turning on the keyboard put the drive into the slot, turn on the keyboard and hold down 7-8-9 at the same time. It should now say UPD MODE on the display. Push any button and eventually you'll see CTX30108, followed by OK? Press ENTER (6) and then YES (+) and the update begins. After a short while COMPLETE will show it's been updated. There's little explanation of what the update is actually for, but everything seems fine on my keyboard so I'm happy.
Great explanation. I was using it incorrectly and didn't understand what was happening until watching the video. Thank you!
thanks for your help on the Casio X3000. I just bought it for my daughter.
Yes very useful. Casio should include a DVD of all your how to's with the keyboard. The best.😀😀 thanks.
Hi Stewart THANK YOU!! Excellent guides and info! 🙏🙏🙏👍
No problem - glad the info has been useful. 😎

Very useful indeed, i wanna use it as a drummer, ther are so many options, an amazing Tool this Keyboard is!!!!
For the price it's got a lot to offer as I'm discovering. But the manual needs to be better. Enjoy with your music! 🎶

Hola por favor subtítulos en Español , please please .!!!!!!! Gracias
Hi, Stewart. Tell me, please, how many tones with built-in DSP can be used when creating a rhythm or song?

Does anyone know how to update the software on this keyboard

@StewartWallaceSJWMusic ok now does updating it make a difference in performance
@@quintinwright8487 I can't say really - they don't say what the update is improving, but it's certainly not causing me any issues that I've noticed.
@@StewartWallaceSJWMusic that's good
