This is an absolutely brilliant video, thanks very much for doing this. It is really interesting to get a 991 owner's view on these older cars and you gave your genuine views, you didn't just trot out the usual "group think" views. Interestingly, I've just renewed the shock absorbers on my 997 and the comfort and refinement is now SO much better, so it may be that some of the difference in the comfort that you experienced is just due to your car having newer suspension? (It's well worth doing that in any older car because it's a lot cheaper than trading up to a newer model!)
Thank you so much for your comment. You could be right. .the newer suspension may be playing a role. However I also suspect they are constantly tuning the suspension with each newer model for the perfect comfort/handling balance. They are all great cars!
The electronics in the 996 can be updated easily to enable CarPlay/Android for Bluetooth, navigation etc. Either with an aftermarket head unit, or with the Porsche PCCM+ like I did in my C4S. The thing I like best about the 996 is that, for me, it's the sweet spot between old and new. Has enough modern features (especially with the PCCM+) but still has the classic feel. Love it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on those beauties!
The 996 will be a future classic because it is the point where the 911 changed to modern. Good thing, it is no digital car. That is why I bought a 996.2 GT3
Great video! I think your car is the one with the best last interior. The 992 is way too techno for me. I love how the LCD screen is just 1 and the shape matches the other gauges. If I were to upgrade to a newer 911 from my 997 the 991.2 would be as new as I would go.
I bought a 996.2 GT3 Clubsport. That car is so much fun to drive, direct steering, screaming Mezger engine. I guess you barely find anything else in this price range
im in love with the 997 gen. best looking porsche in my opinion.
They are good looking indeed!
997 is the best version of the 911 and there will never be a better 911 in size and characteristics

Thank you for your comment! The naturally aspirated 997 is a keeper!

That's true!
I like the 991.2. over the new 992
I am keeping mine.🙂
Good!!! 🤩@@carminered3229
I have read and heard from a bunch of people that Porsche suspension is the absolute best...which I agree with...
Totally!
Great review of three fantastic vehicles!
Thank you very much!
996 sounded the best by far!
