  • The Washington BDR is on every overlanders list in the Pacific Northwest. With me having been doing this for a few years now and still not having tackled it, I felt it was finally time to take it on. I did this trip solo in my Bronco. It took me 6 days and over 600 miles of off-roading in my Bronco to compete

      Yeah it can be a little rough. Try and ease yourself in to it though if you want. Maybe start at a campground not too far, then one that’s a bit more off the beaten path. National forest have campgrounds that are considered dispersed but they are established. That might be something to look in to

I think Justin is the last Utah overlander who still uses it because Peter is his camera hero, lol (with good reason). Like a weird dying, or unused style that can really make a scene even more majestic. At least, again looking through my hiking videos, I think so 😁

      I try to do a mixture of both. It’s very difficult if not impossible to make a video that pleases everyone. I too like the silence at times and will try and do that a little more

    • @mxpatriate
      @mxpatriate 11 месяцев назад

      I have to agree with Dawn. Your earlier videos had some epic nature sounds and very cool silent moments. Nature provided its own soundtrack. The whole “snap machine” and grand orchestrals leading to a climax does nothing for me. I’m fact, tbh, it’s starting to become distracting. To the point where you’re no longer my go-to for overlanding films. This is harsh, for sure. But you are correct-these are your films and your dreams. You should make them the way you want and everyone can adjust or bounce. I respect you for making something. Just not working for me anymore. I wish you the best. Keep chasing the dream. Be well.

    • @OFFTHEGRIND
      @OFFTHEGRIND  11 месяцев назад +2

      @mxpatriate I personally never want to create the same video over and o we again. My film making will continue to evolve and change as I learn more about this craft. I will also say I’m the happiest in my personal life then I have been in a long time and I think my editing style reflects that mood. Sorry my style no longer aligns with what you’re looking for but thanks for watching

    I just recently found your channel, and while the adventures are fun, you spend wayyyyy too much time talking about gear. It makes all the videos feel like an ad.
