    Can you please bring back the gen I galil ace? I promise to buy a couple vs. procrastinating this time around lol!

    Love mine and appreciate the simplicity of the mechanism, how smooth it runs, and it's great balance. Thanks Tom!!

      I edited my original comment since I already state a simple mechanism but were you aware that just because it's a short stroke mechanism it can still have gas rings? Examples that come to mind are the FN Scar and Tavor 7. Some short stroke gas pistons still require gas rings. I was trying to emphasize that this design has no rings whatsoever.

    Looks like a fine rifle arriving just a tad late to the party.
    I'm a huge fan of IWI products but I haven't seen any reason to purchase this instead of a CZ Bren...or even to replace a Galil with this or a higher quality piston AR.

    • @creosote3220
      @creosote3220 8 месяцев назад +2

      Well, the reason to get this over a bren is that CZ has stopped producing brens domestically. Thanks Colt, very cool.

    bout time! Please bring us the Arad!
    Edited to add: Would be nice to see barrel removal. Any plans for 12.5-14.5” barrels? Also are the hooks on the lower receiver steel reinforced like a HK UMP?

    • @incognito1409
      @incognito1409 9 месяцев назад

      Why would you want shorter barrels instead of an 18,5? M193 is utterly useless below the 3k+fps threshold. Longer barrel=more muzzle velocity=consistent and reliable fragmentation. M193 (the only affordable and worth while 5.56 round) won't do what it was designed for out of a shorter barrel, including 16", let alone all those carbine and pistol length barrels. Get an X95 18,5" if you want a small overall package AND 5.56 lethality is what I always tell everyone😃

    Can the mlok handguard be switched out with the original military/polymer handguard?

    • @streamfisher7472
      @streamfisher7472 9 месяцев назад +1

      That’s what I’m hoping, fingers crossed. Some company will make handguards that can be swapped out hopefully at least.

    • @kraeber5610
      @kraeber5610 9 месяцев назад

      That og version was a concept and never produced beyond like 7 or 8 rifles, the mlok is actually the true military version that’s being exported now

      @@kraeber5610 according to MAC & the current IWI US sales pitch or is that actually IWI Israel’s information? IWI US said the ACE Gen 2 was the current military production too , IWI Israeli said no that isn’t true and said the “gen 2” ACE was for the US market only. Since the new management took over I’ve found you can’t really trust the info coming from IWI US anymore. They will change their story to fit marking plans rather than just being honest like they used to be. Just like the MAC video, it’s just the current IWI us’s sales pitch. Regardless the new handguard is shit. I’ve held both rifles and the new one is much different in a negative way. The only way I and many others are going to buy it is if they offer the original design handgaurd rather than this 2x4. If they want our business they know what they need to do. Otherwise there are plenty of other options while these are setting unsold for under MSRP on GB. Most people have little need for a US made 8+ lbs polymer 556 , those that are interested aren’t buying it for a tacticool 2x4 mlok.

      @@kraeber5610 yeah I watched the video explaining that, somebody will step up and make a better handguard set up for it.

    Wonderful. Now, empower POS gunsmiths to resolve/correct the FPSB recall issue w/out requiring new owners, ( AKA loyal customers ) to ship back to you for, "4-6" week turn/repair. Absolutely, unequivocally love mine...but IWI recall/return solution is a quintessential fail. Judged not by the problem, but by the solution for the problem you created is solved.

    This rifle replaced the Galil, Gen 1 and Gen 2. That's old design and technology... This is current... Looks like almost a copy of the Beretta ARX 16

    Huge and shamelessly biased IWI fan here. Hard pass though on this one. Too much plastic in too many essential areas, folding stocks for example are the number one potential fail points.... There is a reason why the aftermarket fixed the SCAR.
