@@samdajellybeenie14 I didn't see this before I replied. It grinds my gears SO hard when some dumb ass snatches and locks recon squad just to have the scope. It can me awesome, but there are only 2 per team for a reason. I think there should be a level cap on most servers for recon, tank squad lead, and commander. There is also a serious need for command/officer incentives for people to take the responsibility. Just had the realization, if you ever want a video of the iPhone app running please let me know. I realize you’ve already completed this video and probably don’t need to make a new one any time soon
Your distance changes by a couple meters when viewed from the map versus viewing it 1st person while sitting at the gun. It doesn't change your elevation degree on average but just keep that in mind. Great video Viking!
Just came here after you sent me the link under your other artillery tutorial video. Tried out this method right afterwards, 82 kills lmao. Great tutorial, great website, thanks!
I managed to get a 132 kill streak with Arty on Foy last year. It was offensive so they couldn’t send recon and I swear 75% of my kills came from Carbiou(sp?) Factory.
I just bought a 1€ App Store calculator and the rest is history. Got 97 kills on teh desert map. Work with officers to help you inform where enemies are pushing. Concentrate on enemies strongholds, zones and flanks. Easy.
You don’t need a calculator. The firing table and math in your head is sufficient. What you need are accurate calls for fire. Communication, like with everything in HLL, is key.
@@RedcoatViking_Official How can u support artillery to your team while playing cat and mouse with the enemy recon. I usually play as engineer and set up sandbag around the gun
How long does it take for an artillery shell to land after being fired? Do tree's directly in front of the artillery piece obstruct the rounds you fire?
I was going to ask this, too. I haven’t found a good resource for Time of Flight. Or if the ToF varies in game based on trajectory and distance like real life. I would love to give SLs the “Rounds Complete” followed by “Splash, Out”
There is a way to do it if you like maths, but for those of us that don't, here's how I do it ruclips.net/video/PfYF_AAtIG4/видео.html The mathmatical way that's been explained to me is something like take the mil and subtract the boredom, multiplied by the nerd factor and then uninstall but I think that's wrong...
I don’t believe there is. What I like to do is try to predict where a conflict will be based on where your garrisons are placed in relation to the objectives. The blueberries have direction indicators on them so you can tell where they’re trying to go and pick some cover that the enemy would use. Don’t forget the thirty seconds of hang time between pulling the trigger and the report. Happy hunting!
Only if you’re playing as the Soviet faction because their gun elevation can be adjusted way faster on console compared to the German and American artillery.
Sorry but if looking away from your screen to look at an app is quicker then you need to go back to grade 2-3 math. Considering it’s a 20m area that you can hit at the minimum it’s not more accurate in any way. If you adjust 1mil for every 4m you will be exactly as accurate as a calculator because the amount you would be off is less than the amount you can adjust the gun.
just tried it for the first time and got 8 team kills in one fucked up shot i shouldve double checked the coords for but other than that ingot 27 infantry kills and 7 officer kills atleast is that shit or okay for a firdt timer going into it cold and using the calculator i was told about
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you as well RedcoatViking!
3 days ago 230 artillery kills 0 deaths...I think the enemy team hated me.
I heard that Artillery calculator is not accurate in terms of degree?
teach me, master.
@@Arch3an Get lucky enough to have a totally inept recon squad on the enemy team.
Their recon also sucked 🤣

Hey thanks for the shout out to TomDave artillery calculator! I’m always happy to hear it’s working well for folks!
It's my pleasure! It's a great tool that's useful to have around 🫡

Good to know!
In my experience it only really seems to have an effect on maps with varied terrain like hurtgen forest, hill 400, and remagen.

Excellent guide Redcoat!! Happy New Year as well, looking forward to another year of epic content in '23 brother!
Cheers Chris! I've got some exciting stuff planned already 👀

Doesn't matter how you do it really, do whatever works for you to get your shots on time and on target! 😁👍
75 kills baby thank you, second time using artillery
Caculating is easy. What i worry is the enemy flanker and sabotage unit that creep in your HQ and shoot you behind your back
Just shoot 'em

So far I've only managed a 100 kill streak on arty but I also started doing in 2 days ago
can you explain to me how the degrees (green text) on calculator works? it does not seem to align with the traverse degrees in game

23-24 seconds ish. Trees don't obstruct the shells :)

Is there a way to change the angle faster on console? Just slowly goes by 1's the entire time

I've never played it on console but that sounds like a nightmare 😬

how many times should usually shoot at one spot.. ?
I usually do 3, then wait for the 3rd one to land and if it's still giving me the kill confirmation sound I wait 10-20 more seconds and do 3 more.
Pls dont teach my enemys how to use artillery they Will Make My Life hell
Just... Let loose
Got 41 kills 0 deaths while watching this vid 😂 im new to the game i have like 16 hours
Well done ^^

Arty Gods never Tk friendly's
I disagree! Most gods seem to smite hundreds of thousands of people, friend and foe alike! lol
I might not be an arty god, but when the match is 100% won I may or may not fire arty at our team for victory
I ALWAYS make an effort to set arty markers and warn the squads who wander too close as insurance against revenge team killing lol
