This is absolutely amazing and just pure bliss to watch! Will this be a full-on 25-30 level gem hunting game? Or are you sticking with just these 10 levels and 5 tapes? Awesome work btw :)
I'm amazed by everything I'm seeing, this project is perfect! I know for a fact getting that PS1 no-lighting effect in Unity is not that easy so kudos to you sir! It would be interesting to see how the game would look like with upscaled or completely redraw textures, removing the "pixely" look and going over the limitations of the PS1.
I thought the remake would kill off these kind of projects... but here we are and Im so happy about it. I dont know if you could legally get a kickstarter for something like this but... wow.
This is very authentic to the classic ND Crash experience, and tho I love Crash Warped more than CB2, CB2 is the the basis of how Crash games should be designed with the Warped Room being the key factor. You can take Crash 2's style of gameplay and do so much with it to make it the definitive Crash experience like how Warped did which was take Crash 2's style and make it more fun with lots of variety and grandness.
Sick as always dude. I’m not usually a fan of Time Trials, but even I’m interested in those Uka Trials - short & sweet & no stupid cycles you’ve got to wait around for. Also like how you get the whole view of Silver Lining when you’re grabbing the scroll. :)
Amazing fan game. This is what Retro Hijinx tried and failed to be. It has the classic Crash asthetic while also combining modern Crash elements like the flashback tapes. Very interested to see what the future of this project entails.

Can you make some original levels based on the "non-platformer" CTR maps like Hot Air Skyway, Coco Park and Blizzard Bluff? I feel like these levels have some textures already made, that would be dope to have as a platformer levels.
I'm amazed you, Abdul and Terry Games appreciate this despite of your unhealthy obsession of genuine article's substitution with Activision's name-only hoax (unless you have Dissociative Identity Disorder). Don't you think you could appreciate Crash Retro HiJinx too? It's not like my approach is much different from Daniel's
One, at least Daniel's trying to make it look like it comes from the PlayStation 1. Two, why would I support a fangame that once had malware in it, which deletes N. Sane Trilogy and It's About Time off one's computer?
@@zoa1530 For same reason you'd support Daniel's game: Both are authentic throwbacks of Crash Bandicoot, though my fangame immediately goes for Warped and WoC's features instead of taking bizarre detour during WIP stage like Daniel's game seems to. Crash Retro Hijinx also features levels set in new ambientations and featuring the enemies not seen in prevous Crashs before. Not to mention its real time shadow and double framerate make low/mid poly visuals less low-tech, helping players to appreciate said specs better. @@Teh69thSpartan Just if you're interested in my fangame as well. I'm also curious to know were you involved to development of Daniel's fangame by any chance? Then again we can discuss on DA as well.
My overall opinion of this fangame (spoilers): The Good: - It faithfully captures the gameplay of original Crash Bandicoot trilogy on the PS1 (it resembles Crash 2 the most). - Aesthetically it also faithfully captures the feel of the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy. - While it closely resembles the original PS1 trilogy, the fangame does incorporate some elements from Crash 4 and even having a unique challenge in it. - The fangame includes a level editor, which is a very nice feature included to the game. - The Uka Uka's trial is an interesting feature to the fangame, even if it is unnecessarily hard at times. The Bad: - Some enemies' hitbox detection need to be improved. - The final level of this fangame (as of now) is a little too hard. - Several gameplay elements need to improve. Such as the player's ability to keep the Aku Aku mask(s) when entering a level.
Extremely faithful to the original games! Need to add some shading around the trees but otherwise it looks 1 to 1 the same. I hope someone does this with the original Resident Evil games.

Also, some stuff has to be fixed like the enemies' hit detection as well
I can't believe what I see, more than amazing! The work done is incredible, sounds, game mechanics, animations, art and level design, all great!
You did a better job than Activision with the last crash Bandicoot 4😁
I loved the fan game, you are on the right track and I love the way you are developing it, keep it up.

Or in double-framerate
I knew something was odd about this, it's the fact I'm seeing PS1-styled Crash gameplay in 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the 4:3 I'm used to
This is so dope, the visuals look really good so far
Way, way, way too good. Especially level editor. That is the most exciting think i want to try.
