Have the same take on Twinsanity: definitely not the best, but totally my favorite. It's just so chaming, funny and intriguing.
When the worst criticism a game have is not having more of it's ideas then you know it's special.
And having a tutorial for a type of enemy that ONLY appears on the tutorial almost feels intentional by how hilarious this is 😂
To be fair, the worst criticism about Twinsanity would definitely be the jumps. The jumps are totale ass, basically when Crash jumps, the gravity instantly drag him down. Definitely would have appreciate some more floatiness. Plus Crash’s spin hitbox is totally random, more often than not is so minuscole enemies will still hit you.
These are just some of the things I’m noticing, I’m playing it right now for the first time. But everything else about the game is so charming. I love the story and the characters. So I’m still liking the game a lot

@@davion4777 Twinsanity was the one I missed out on as a kid. When I went back to jam it as a teenager that was the biggest deal breaker for me gameplay wise, got a lot of game overs because of it. My other major complaint was how easy it was to stumble back into levels like the bee one.

I like how you had the OG Crash 1 ranked so high, it's one of my favourite games of all time, this may be due to nostalgia as it was the first video game I ever played, I remember playing it with my dad when I was younger, the first & only video game I'd ever seen him play, but I loved the soundtrack, the level aesthetic, especially in The Lost City & Sunset Vista, seeing Cortex's Island in the distance with that orange sunset background, absolute masterpiece. It's good seeing others have their different opinions on the ranking of crash games, I have Crash 4 at the top, but everyone has Crash Boom Bang at the bottom lol it sucks
Honestly, the only major issue most people have with the original game is the save system. I'm actually okay with everything else. But if you intend to finish most of it in one or a few sessions, the saving barely feels like an issue anyway.
Yes, Electron Avenue is absolute eyecandy that can't be matched. Good track. Good soundtrack. Good redesign. Fun originally AND "remakely". It's just good lol. Besides that, solid ranking :)
Im glad someone finally mentioned this. I love how broken twinsanity is, im not a speedrunner or someone who tries doing glitches but breaking the game is so much fun and adds so much replayability to an already replayable game.

Twinsanity has a vibe of Neo is a seasoned, shakespearean actor. Made famous for his role in Crash 1-3. Now forced to, against his will, to act in a Crash fanfiction with no-name actors.
It has its charm but Neo was the only character they got right from the OG trilogy.
Crash Bandicoot Twinsanity is literally my favorite game of all time. I quote it constantly despite the fact that no one I quote it to has any clue what I am talking about. I grew up playing this game, and I still have yet to one hundred percent it. I watched my dad one hundred percent the game, and his save file lives on on my PS2.

I think I'm gonna pass on Crash Team Rumble. I don't like how Activision and Toys for Bob just want the game's main focus to be collecting wumpa fruit. The game should've been a brand new party game. They could've turned that game into a Fall Guys version of Crash, but instead Actvision messed that up. I guess I'll just wait for Crash 5 and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 2 to come out. I just think they're being a bit delusional if they think 1 whole game mode is going to help the game stay relevant. That's like if Nintendo released a new Mario Party and it has 7 boards, but 1 mini game. Putting my ranting aside, I love Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. It was nice seeing Pasadena return. Those are my top 2 favorite Crash Bandicoot games.
Yeah, the N-verted levels in Crash 4 definitely feel like padding and should've just been a fun option you could turn on in the menus. DKC Return and Tropical Freeze's mirror/hard modes made sense because they increased the difficulty, but there's nothing to add here because you already die in one hit to begin with.

I grew up playing CNK on the gamecube (and N. Tranced on GBA) with a scratched gamecube disc LMAO so i never got to 100% the game but it is what i have to thank for getting me massively into Crash as a franchise in general. When CTR NF came out i played the ever living hell out of it ans then emulated CNK to finally 100% it and unlock Real Velo and i think it really holds up, sure its not as good as OG CTR but they put a lot of love into that game (like the concept in general of going to different planets and racing on themed tracks from that planet is great, and hell the background elements of the tracks are expanded on in CTR NF and give them some connecting tissue that makes it all feel more "real")

Probably an unpopular opinion, but i actually enjoyed Crash Purple. I found most of the minigames to be pretty fun and the bosses were mostly enjoyable too. I did think it was dumb that the final world requores you to have every single Clear Gem up until that point to continue. Also the final boss was a disappointment and i do hate the raft and freefallin minigames. But the rest of it is solid, if you want to try a decently enjoyable Crash themed minigame gauntlet (as oddly specific as that is) i would give it a try.
Tho i will agree, Spyro Orange had it worse, tho its still not a bad game, but having to do every single mini game three tines each in advancing difficulty before getting access to the final world is a lot worse than just getting every Clear Gen. Theres a reason why i managed to beat Crash Purple as a kid but only beat Spyro Orange for the first time recently. Tho I do especially like the bosses in Spyro Orange, at least (minus the final).

Love the video. For me, if the game was too different from the Naughty Dog games, I wasn't a huge fan of it lol. Personally CTR was my favorite and Crash 2 is what made Crash Crash, so I'm glad you ranked that the highest out of the original 3.
Crash of the titans was one of my favorite games if not my favorite when I was in elementary. I used to tell people even up til high school it is my favorite video game of all time, so to see it so low hurts. That being said, I haven’t played it since I was a little kid so going back to it would probably prove it’s not as great as I once thought.

Crash Bash is NOT a bad game lol. It's actually very fun and nejoyable. Me and my cousin had a lot of fun playing this game.
The DS MOM was fucking amazing. I loved it, haven't 100% it because I lost my card.

Wow, this video was a ride. There were great takes, some I did disagree with, but overall, it is a solid list. Except the #1 spot. I have a great appreciation for this game and it's nostalgic for me as well, but you have to be crazy to even consider it top 10. It is such a broken mess and gameplay is overrated, though I do think that it could have been the greatest crash game, if given time in development. Just my opinion, keep up the good work 👍

To say that Crash 2 is a better game than the Wrath of Cortex is an extremely understandable take, because it is a better game. But saying that Crash 2 has a better soundtrack than the Wrath of Cortex is just wrong.

Twinsanity is a fairly alright game when compared to other unfinished and unpolished trash games out there, but that is an extremely low bar to pass. If this game had been finished and actually polished to any extent, it might have been an ok addition to the Crash name, but I felt like I wasted my money and my time on a rushed cash-grab.
The music is great and likely the only thing I'd say wasn't bad about this game. I really hope a remake will never be created.
I agree on all the other games on the list, but Twinsanity is just below Crash 4 on my list despite that game making going for 100% an unfun grind.

I actually really liked Titans. And the route they went with making Tiny like Mike Tyson was awesome and funny to me
My biggest issue with it is really that it’s just a total departure from an already established character, which never sits well with me. But if you enjoyed it, don’t let anyone ever tell you you’re wrong. 😊
@RikoKSB I actually kind of expected them to go this route with Titans the second I booted up the game. Yes the established character was just a mindless brute but with Titans they said "what else could we do" and I feel a Mike Tyson spinoff was perfect for Tiny.
Can't even finish this video without stopping to comment but its going great yet again, probably for the better i snobbed the previous attempts at a ranking though. For now i only got to say that i still don't get how Titans is so low, perhaps people don't appreciate a good God Of War clone like i do or that's simply the issue, a God Of War clone. It has the best narrative in any Crash game though, perhaps not writing since i prefer Twiddies but the story is superb, so superb in fact that it might've made you immune to IAT cringy aah moments. Literally the only game that made me cringe, Purple doesn't count coz that's just bad fanfiction, OFFICIAL fanfiction but whatever. Level design is as fun to traverse as in Crash 1 and just like 1 the OST is...lacking but still ok, another thing the sequel would fix but it ruined the traversal a bit. I like backtracking but this isn't it in, this is just filler padding that feels like it exists so that the game doesn't feel as short, it still does. Probably the 2nd most rushed game in the series, there's even cut songs that would probably be used in cut levels but anyway I'd put CNK in Titans place, only good thing that game has is Velo, everything else that's good about it is in theory, which is why i always ranked CTTR higher. Multiple ways of progression, fun world, battle and stunt arenas on top of racing and other minigames, it feels more like a complete experience to me. Or i'm just based and like bowling too much, GTA IV is my fav GTA after all anyway, onwards witht the vid
Hah i'm just surprised with the top pick, not gonna argue with that coz i agree lol, CB3 being better than 1 is arguable at this point though. Not something i'd waste my time on but i will do it for NF being better than the original for 1 simple reason. The game engine. I feel like it's insulting to the readers intelligence having to explain this....but. Invisible walls and inconsistent physics, something that could never be fixed. USF being maintainable is also controversial but i'll let it slide, weapons though could be more balanced, same with the classes, at least give us a no items mode in online ffs like how Uncharted 4 MP had that classic mode, that was amazing. Oh and how could i forget (not) the MTX in a remake of a 20 year old game for children, this will never not be brought up when talking about this game, ever. I'm glad there was pushback because it could've gotten a lot worse....it's still bad, VERY bad but...nah it's still the worst, Megamix Mania can only carry this game so far for me, the OST is still inferior to the OG too and again...Megamix Mania can only carry this game so far. Not even the CNK tracks can save it, CNK is just boring to me, i hate playing those tracks in NF. I only used to love Hyper Spaceway and it's been butchered here but on the bright side, Electron Avenue slaps. Great list, Twinsanity is literally the only game i recommend to anyone that's not a fan, it's just a great experience and even addictively fun for me, i can be replaying this game endlessly like i do with Hotline Miami or Bloodborne

Ngl Twinsanitys soundtrack is an absolute bop. Ive had N Sanity Beach's acapella stuck in my head for years now and pray for the sweet release of a nitro crate to make it stop as i slowly descend into madness and join the voices in their cheery tune
I agree with CB1 and Twinsanity. While yes do I believe Crash Evolution could have been a great spin on the Franchise, Twinsanity is so weird, odd and special, that it has created a life separate from just a game, it's art.

I'm very glad you gave mind over mutant a fresh perspective. I was honestly getting very tired of the whole "different ergo bad" mentality crash fans have towards that game.
I just remember loving mutant and titans as a young kid. I played titans when it came out so maybe because I played it first I remember it way better then it was but it’s been so long mutants probably was a whole lot better in every way. Titans is just the dark souls prepare to die mode version of mutants if I take my biases away😂
Either way would love to see those two crash games plus twinsanity remade or at least ported onto new consoles in hd, those were some of my favorites

@@charbrillant7494 fr I bought it on my old 360 I dug up a few months back and played through titans. It’s not as hard as I remember when I was a kid but maybe it’s because I found all the insta jack power ups pretty easy now that I’m older. Havnt replayed mutants yet but I think mutant combat and gameplay was the only thing that was improved in that game. I agree titans story and missions were simple and straightforward and to the point and I like it for that.

Twinsanity being #1 wasn’t so unexpected but I love it as well. It’s insanely broken but just something about it is awesome. Playing Twinsanity for the first time as a huge Crash fan is something I can’t explain. You’re on this dramatically different adventure as Crash and you’re not able to tell what’s going to happen next. The first time I played it honestly was such an insane experience and it was a ton of fun to have something different and roam around a bit. Using the objects of the map to get to places you aren’t intended to be made the game replayable over time. You nailed it though… we will never see such a broken but action packed Crash game ever again the way Twinsanity was.

I grew up with an N64 and MK64. I recently played Crash Team Racing and was like "where has this BIN MY WHOLE LIFE??" It's beautifully made.
I had a similar case a decade ago-ish when I played MK64 for the first time (I grew up with CTR). While I do think MK64 has the better music, CTR's tight controls blows MK64 out of the water. And due to that, I ended up preferring CTR in the end still.

And that final battle against Cortex in his Mutant Form along with the cutscenes before and after it is amazing. I just think Cortex's Mutant Form is incomplete. I bet if they added more features to the model, then that would make the battle even tougher.

Crash Twinsanity is an Unfinished Masterpiece that doesn’t get enough love ❤️ The game has it’s flaws but that is what makes me love the game even more. Crash Twinsanity had so much potential considering how rushed the game was with a lot of cut content and the OST is Beautiful.

Tag Team Racing and Clash of the Titans were the two crash games I ever finished. I loved the absolutely bizarre and absurd jokes and the look of COTT, was amazing. Its what cemented my love of Nolan North's version of N.Gin.

For Crash Bash I disagree. The 4 player party mode is trash cause of how its laid out. The minigames are too skill based so the person who owns the game will have way too big of an advantage and without a board game portion to help spice up the presentation it gets really boring really fast.
But I asore the single player/co-op campaign. Couldn't disagree more with how bad people say it is.
I also think both Nitro Kart GBA and Super Circuit are great games. Def do not get the hate.

I'm not as much of a Crash person as I am a Spyro person, but I find a lot of kinship here as someone who has always felt that, while the Reignited Trilogy looks nice enough in its own way, it doesn't capture what I loved about the artstyle of the original games at all and I ultimately still prefer the originals.
One thing I will specifically give credit to the N. Sane Trilogy for, though, which you didn't mention is that I love being able to play as Coco basically all the way through the whole thing. It seems like not a big deal but I think she's such a fun character and the trilogy plus It's About Time really feel like they gave her time to shine.
Coco is my favorite character in the franchise so that’s definitely a huge plus in NST, but ultimately it didn’t sway my opinion too much so I just ended up not mentioning it.
There’s a lot of things for several of the games that I didn’t think about mentioning until after I finished the script but I didn’t wanna make it longer.

My Life will be complete if we get a Crash Twinsanity Remake with all the cut levels added in so it would be fully finished like it was suppose to be if it wasn’t heavily rushed. Crash Twinsanity had so much potential. The Game deserves a Second Chance 😊💎

My unwanted opinion, Crash 2, IAT, and CTR are the best. Twinsanity and Mind Over Mutant suck but are funny, MoM stands out solely for that reason. Unpopular opinion, I like WoC >:)))

I absolutely agree with you about the Crash 3 remake, and while the jet ski takes getting used to, yeah, the bike is WAAAAAY stiffer than in the original, which does make time trials harder. Also yeah, Crash 4 is such a slog to get through I was utterly exhausted and grateful that the game was finally over and done with. It was gorgeous yeah, but the ridiculous difficulty come the Food Dimension really wore me down, especially with how insanely long the levels are.
I honestly think that every single issue people have with Crash 4 would have been lessened if the levels were shorter or split up. Frustrating to find all the boxes? It's okay, the level would only be 3 minutes instead of 15. Really difficult section of the level? It's okay, because if you exit and come back to play it later, you only replay the first 2 minutes of the level before getting to where you were. Too much stuff to collect? It's okay because you have shorter sessions to collect them all and it won't feel as frustrating replaying levels.
Havent watched the vid yet but Crash Boom Bang better be number one >:(

8:58 Nah, man. I'm sure it's partially the nostalgia talking, but I also replayed this game in 2022.
1) Yeah, the AI cheats a hell of a lot, and the late game is unfair as fuck. That needs to be fixed. And that's the exact sort of fix a remake is a perfect fit for.
2) A remake is implied to bring in Online multiplayer. Which would also work around the issue with the cheating AI. I don't understand how you can't see this point.
3) Some levels are repetitive? Honestly, the only ones that _are,_ are the Pogo levels like you showed when talking about this point. I don't even like going through them the first time around, they're such a drag.
But the Ballistic, Polar, Tank and especially the Arena levels are so much fun. They have the perfect amount of randomness to be replayable, and the different arenas have a fair amount of difference between them, keeping the formula fresh.
I will admit that the Dash levels are not fantastic, but they also don't overstay their welcome. And I believe that's all the repeating level types. Keg Kaboom and the like aren't my favorites, but they are one offs. They don't represent much of the game.
It might be true that you can get bored after 30 minutes with even the best ones, but so what? There are a dozen different ones of equal worth. For a game like this, that is a perfectly acceptable amount of time.
The repetition is the biggest thing holding crash bash back. You need to win each minigame 3 times and god forbid if the CPU wins before you, or else you have to do it all over again.
Then you need to do the crystals and gem challenges also 3 times, all with slightly variations. It's WAY WAYYY too repetitive. Probably the most padded game of all time and I played dk64

Crash 2 has always have the best soundtrack and is unbeatable
But dammit the acapella soundtrack Twinsanity has is magical (Also Twinsanity is also my favorite game on the PS2)
I actually like both Crash Of The Titans and Mind Over Mutant, I just had a lot of fun playing them... albeit I did hate the backtracking in MOM
Ɪ like to debate & hear people's opinions on games that intrigue me, so here are my list reactions:
24(Boom Bang): saw that coming. Ɪ get a little enjoyment out of it, but it is just mediocre.
23(Mind Over Mutant DS): it's... okay. very repetitive, though. comparing Titans GBA & Mutant DS, Mutant has more variety in Crash's moves, but Titans GBA has more variety in titans & level design, funnily enough.
22(Titans GBA): Ɪ think this is a good beat-em-up. the enemies sound like Homer Simpson, & the TNT explosions make TNT sound like a toy in this game.
21(Fusion/Purple): well, it's actually pretty good if you ask me. (sorry, i'm a very optimistic person.) Ɪ would say the best minigame-based Crash game.
20(Bash): Bash has some cool minigames, & is good for some simple fun, but more so for singleplayer, considering the grinding you have to do. this works out fine for me, cos Ɪ play games on my own most of the times, but still...
19(Nitro Kart GBA): Ɪ DO see the quality. seriously, Hyper Spaceway. damn. it's the best flat racer if you ask me. it does something Super Circuit can't. make characters each control different without making certain ones clunky & near unplayable. and these are the best designed flat tracks i've ever come across. one play of Super Circuit made me realise how good this is.
18(Titans Main): GREAT beat-em-up, and does actually do a few things like the classics. hallway (sorta) level design, vibrant & Crash-esque environments, & the Crash 1 big adventure feel. some character designs, while inferior to the classic looks, are pretty cool, such as Crash himself, or N.Gin having a more robotic look. well, attempting to have a more robotic look. i agree with Riko on Nina. platforming is alright in these games, and it's kinda fun to collect Mojo & unlock moves, but Mind Over Mutant is a better game, what with more platforming.
17(XS): this hurt. Crash Bandicoot XS is my 2nd favourite Crash game, & 2nd favourite game of all time, as Ɪ think it took the creative level design of 2 & 3, then turned that into a great side-scroller. not quite as amazing as those 2, but still creative, varied, & overall well-designed. even with the occasional flaws.
16(CTTR): Ɪ think this a good racing game, & a good platformer. Ɪ like that Radical added a clash mechanic to make Tag Team stand out from the other CTR games. it honestly makes me think of Jak X, but controlling good, & with items not being spammed.
15(Titans DS): HELL YEAH! best game with the title of 'Crash of the Titans'. it blends classic Crash platforming, specifically Crash 2 if you ask me, & Crash of the Titans combat action.
14(Mind Over Mutant Main): think Crash of the Titans with more platforming, and more emphasis on special titan abilities. or a less buggy Twinsanity. there you go.
13(WoC): Wrath of Cortex is a GREAT game. vehicle levels in this game aren't THAT bad for the most part, the best being the atlasphere. though, as usual, platforming is where Crash is at his strongest. the only truly awful vehicle is the copter. the jeep is bad while racing, but good in chasing. rhyme intended.
12(CNK): it's alright. not much more to say. Ɪ need to get to know the Anti-Gravity better.
11(Crash 2 N-Sane): only thing worse about Crash 2 N-Sane is the jetpack. in the original, it was... mediocre. in N-Sane, it's TERRIBLE. Ɪ think 3 is the only one that's worse in N-Sane, though still good.
10(N-Tranced): GREAT GAME. innovative, while faithful to Warped & Wrath of Cortex. but inferior to XS just by a hair.
9(Warped N-Sane) downgrade, am Ɪ right? still good, but the tiger is slower, the motorbike is stiffer and no longer fun for me, and the jet ski is alright actually. just thought mention it, since people complain so much.
8(Crash 1 N-Sane): why is the whole of N-Sane below the OGs? Crash 1 is much better in N-Sane, though still really good on PS1.
7(Crash 4): DAMN! HAVE YOU SEEN THIS LEVEL DESIGN?! Ɪ don't think it's too bad that it's less linear, & more difficulty focused, aside from a few levels. Ɪ think this is inferior to the trilogy it follows up, though.
6(Crash 1): the only thing Ɪ think brings it down from being as good as some other games is some control issues.
5(CTR): best kart racer, maybe even best racing game ever. just listen to Riko on this one.
4(Crash 3): my favourite. closely followed by XS, as Ɪ said.
3(CTR NF) yep. CTR is the best kart racer, unless you count the remake of CTR for it's own spot.
2(Crash 2): this game is AMAZING. but oh my goodness, that means Ɪ know what's next.

I feel like Crash Boom Bang shouldn't really count, nobody really gives a shit about it, and we're people really expecting something good from it? I really don't get the huge hate boner for Boom Bang, sure it's bad but like it's a shit mini game collection on the DS, what were you expecting.

Crash Twinsanity truly is a game where the sum is so much more than the whole of its parts
Crash TwinSanity is the reason I fell in love with the franchise, and I think was probably the first videogame I saw in my life. It's full of good ideas that I wouldn't mind being reused in future proyects (hopefully). To date, I wouldn't say is my favorite though. It's pretty flawed and, in my opinion, has almost zero replay value. Although, I enjoy listening to its soundtrack from time to time.
Also you're based for giving Mind Over Mutant some love. That game is terribly underrated in the Crash fandom.
