Thanks for the video. You mentioned the longer of the two springs is the 6lb spring. Actually, on the packaging it shows a pic of the “SHORTER” spring being the 6lb. spring for self defense applications.
Thanks for the video, I installed this kit on both my glocks. I already liked the stock trigger on them compared to my duty carry, so this is icing on the cake. Very crisp and light.
I use a CMC flat trigger in my G17. If you have long fingers or giant paws like I do, it makes the trigger pull more comfortable. Smooth pull to the wall, nice break and short crisp reset. If you ever get the chance you should check one out. The nice thing about the flat face is that once the safety bar is depressed, the pad of your index finger has a larger surface to rest on. You dont feel the safety once you begin the trigger pull.
Ok... so, I put in the longer (6lbs) of the two springs in the pistol. Only makes sense when you think about it. Again, thanks for the instructional video... it was VERY helpful.
You can use your 3/32 Glock tool to push the old connector out from the back of the trigger housing. There's a factory drilled hole specifically for that purpose, drilled into the slot that holds the connector in place. If you look hard enough, you'll see it. People try to pry the connector out with a flathead, or this bit about using the edge of the new connector to push it thru the back. Gaston meant for us to use the 3/32 punch to push out the connector.
@@KitBadger It amazes me how many experienced Glock user don't know about the little hole. Gaston Glock himself designed both the OEM Glock tool you have, and the trigger housing. He intended for us to push the connector out with the punch. Also, some people don't realize the shape of the OEM Glock Tool's handle has some other uses. The butt of the handle can be used to tap down pins, etc. Most people know that, but the corners of the handle can be used to seat the pins evenly. Also, in between the "fins" on the handle has a few uses as well. Gaston had a purpose for everything. Quite an amazing tool-maker turned gun -maker.
The lighter spring dose not reset my trigger far enough forward for the trigger safety to reengage on my g17 gen 3. I have to manually pull it forward. Would not recommend the lighter spring for carry.
I installed this based on his video and after everything was installed, I can pull the trigger without touching the trigger safety- something he mentions at the very end of the video. So where did I go wrong?
That sounds like a issue with the actual trigger shoe. None of these parts should effect the trigger safety. Unless you did something with the safety plunger?
The exact same thing happened to me when I just installed mine. There has to be something wrong with the kit because my glock did not do this before. Any word?
