Im a massive fan of Roxette and savage garden, and Ill always remember when I went to see roxette at Wembley arena in London and Darren hayes was performing as support group... wow what a night!

Maaaan this brings back memories. My very first concert was these guys, and I think it was on this exact tour - everything from the stage to the shirt Darren's wearing is so familiar. I remember thinking with the soulful background singers, Darren's outfits, I kept thinking it felt like the sort of show you'd get from a very stripped down Michael Jackson type act, which was very cool.

But "I Don't Know You Anymore", "Two Beds and a Coffee Machine", and "Affirmation" hold a special place in my heart! Each song for different reasons. I never get tired of their music. Ohhhh I was at this one in Brisbane with my Mum and sister. I was a little 12 year old then. I'm now 34! Wow! He's also doing a solo tour next year playing Savage Garden and solo stuff on his own. Mum and I are going back here to see him. My sister's aren't interested this time coz Daniel isn't there. 🙄
Grew up loving Savage Garden , Darrens voice is amazing. I remember they were so different for the time, and they had unique sounds.. esp through their albums. The second album was impressive also. 👏
I'm so glad I managed to go see them when they played here back in '00 during this tour, right before they disbanded. One of their lighting guys had fallen off the rigging during the rehearsal and was in the hospital and I believe one of the backup vocalists was his girlfriend so she had gone with him, so the keyboard player had to cover for her. The whole band was kinda rattled by the incident but they soldiered on admirably and kept sending and asking us to send the dude love throughout. I'm a little sad I've forgotten his name.

Another artist I recommend is called Mr big it has so many beautifully songs Strike like lightning, all the way up, Big Love , Undertow , Had enough ..(I'm sure you will appreciate his talent ) and this band will be you new favorite
I just watched an interview with Darren and he was in the closet about his sexuality back in the day and it caused him to very depressed and suicidal. I think he is making new music now.
