I’m far from being a beginner, but I’m not an MUA either. I’ve used Real Techniques and EcoTools brushes (both made by the same company) since they were first released. Now, it’s easy to find good cruelty free brushes, but it wasn’t back then. I’ve been using them ever since. But watching you have some issues with them helped me understand that using higher quality brushes can make makeup application easier. I can’t afford the BK Beauty brushes. So, I’ll continue to make do with what I can afford, and feel envious of those who can afford the better ones, especially now that I’ve witnessed your struggle. My advice is to buy the highest quality brushes you can afford, but don’t overlook less expensive brands. ELF has some great brushes that I’ve seen people prefer to higher end ones.
I am fortunate to still have plenty of eyebrows, and that's what I use those little combs for. I comb through them once to lay them flat the way I want them, then again after I put on my clear WOW brow before it dries, just to make sure the product isn't clumpy and everything is still laying the way it should.
I use ultabeauty"s lash comb & it truly helps. I hope that you & your family are well; I continue to pray daily for healing for your sister. Thank you for being with us ! Hi Mrs. Betty! I hope that you're well! I pray for you everyday. It's still cold (-4) in AK. Our students went out moose hunting & got 6 moose! We had some fresh moose for dinner last night. Take care & be happy 💗
This is totally off topic but I want to thank you for a past video you did telling about how much you liked using Color Wow !!! I bought it and absolutely love it !!!! Thank you 😘😘😘
I got that set when I was getting back into makeup and all my brushes were shot. Great for practice and altho I have better ones now I do still use some of them. They are good for the price but not top quality for sure. Always enjoy your videos!
I have a couple Real Techniques brushes that I love but the ones I don't love, I hate and there's no way to know till you buy them. It's nice to find brands that you just know are going to be good even if they are more expensive.
Hi Bobbie, nice to see you. Hope your sis is doing better. I have a lot of RT brushes. Honestly, purchased because of reviews, price and they come in sets. Not sure if I'll continue to buy. I need to get better at cleaning them. I tend to slack on that. Thanks for the video😊 I like your tip on using finger for shimmer. I think that's a good idea.
I have the RT slanted duo brushes and they're great for cream shadow sticks. I had the same thought as you on the defining crease brush...nope! Crown brushes are another great, affordable brush line. I have a couple I ordered years ago and just ordered a few more.
I have also had Crown brushes. I don't remember buying them so I think they were part of a kit or something like that. I don't have them anymore, but I think my daughter has them.
I have a few real techniques brushes. They aren’t bad. As with every brand “set “ there are always some I love and some that sit in a box. None of my brushes match! 😂
The brush that you cut the fibers on was the brush I had but gave to my granddaughter because the fibers where pulling out!! They where not secure in the handle at all. Not sure she has a brush left but she was just playing anyway.
Hi Bobbie I have a lot of real techniques brushes and they are work horse brushes. I don't need to be super careful washing them and they last quite a while - they're decent for the price. I have other fancier brushes too and use a mixture of brushes tbh in my makeup application. Although I do own some real hair brushes from years ago (Bobbi Brown and bare minerals), they're more complicated to clean and need more care. Having rosacea means I'm always cleaning brushes, so I far prefer the sturdiness of synthetic brushes in my daily rotation. This set is a basic set for the eye, but the spoolie you're looking for is in the brow kit lol. I've picked up a lot of single brushes from TK maxx over the last few years from real techniques and they've held up really well. Buying singles or duos means you can buy more targeted shapes/sizes for your needs, but for the price this set is fine. best wishes. ps the wet n wild brushes tend to be good value and you can buy those singly.
Awww I love real techniques brushes and I have a lot of brushes. I rate them, but it depends what make up you're using. They work a treat with my high end shadows (dior, Tom Ford) but not so much with cheaper eyeshadow palettes. I think they are worth the money if you can't afford high end, or just don't want to splurge on a brush.
I almost can’t use mascara without using a metal lash comb. I’ve always values my RT brushes because they really hold up to frequent washing but this set doesn’t really offer anything new to me.
Nonono! this eyeset is terrible for hooded eyes the brushes are WAY to big. I hate my set because whenever i try to applly shadow the color spreads far wider than i intended.

Hi, I have a lot of RT brushes, but I think that the face brushes are spectacular! As for the eye brushes, there are few that I really use 🙂

You are fortunate! I'd never thought of using the comb for my brows - I think I'd poke my eye out! 😂
I really like the look. You have the best personality and sense of humor. So fun to watch you. Have fun at the movies😊
Thank you so much!!

Hey Lena! Thank you for your prayers for my sister and my mom - you are truly so sweet!

Oh Yay! I'm so glad it works well for you. I will starting using that so much more once the humidity hits PA! Thanks Bobbie!

I agree, the quality can be lacking, but they are great for getting started. Thanks Lisa

Hey Sharon! I slack on cleaning as well! My sister is doing well, thank you!

Hi Bobbie, I've just found your channel and am enjoying your videos! Cheers from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 👋
Hi Penny! Thank you and welcome!
I have a few real techniques brushes. They aren’t bad. As with every brand “set “ there are always some I love and some that sit in a box. None of my brushes match! 😂
Yes, that's the problem with sets, but I do think they are good when you have no idea what you should buy. Thanks Linda

Not sure she has a brush left but she was just playing anyway.
Hmmm, I haven't had any more come out, but i'm not using it constantly either. I have washed them and they washed well.
I wish that manufacturers would give a cover for double ended brushes!
Absolutely agree!!!

I've never tried wet n wild brushes. It is nice that cheaper ones aren't so stressful to keep good for longer.

Agreed! They are worth the money and a great place to start when you have no idea.
Great video 👍👍 I'm sending out love to everyone 💙💛❤💚💜

I like the real techniques brushes I have but they are all face brushes.
Have you used them for foundation? If yes, which one?
