I was probably 2 hours away from home, and half an hour from any shops, my phones battery was going flat, but i was able to plug my charger cable into the phone, then into the port on the side of the gimbal and draw from its battery to recharge my phone while recording. Allowed me to get those few extra takes I required. Great product.

Was looking for gimbals stumbled across this one on Amazon didn’t know much about it. Clicked on this review and just had to have it .Purchased. Thank you!!!!!
Was really enjoying my OM3 that was until I purchased an external microphone to attached to my iphone and / or android. Once you attach the external mike and run the OM3 in a landscape mode, the gimbal does not allow you to carry it in a normal fashion. I just did a live-stream using an OM3 and an iPhone and a RodeMe Mic - it made it very award to run the OM3 in Landscape mode.
Yeah this is a game changer for me and the reason why I have not bought a gimbal for my iPhone. Using a mic with a dead cat is more important to me. Maybe DJI put a socket on the handle to plug the mic into and connect the phone with a lightning plug or adapter. That way you could even use an android phone but use the Rode Videomic Me L with any phone.
@@Bizweb_Marketing The issue I have is that when you want to film Landscape, you have to spin the phone around so the microphone is at the open end of the OM3 which means the camera is next to the OM3 arm. I recently had to do a live stream for over 90mins and the only way I could use the OM3 was to hold it a 90 degrees which put the camera clear of the arm. I ended up with a pretty sore wrist after the live-stream I can tell you and you are severely limited in how you can use the OM3 in that configuration.

Negatives - I have own this gimbal and here's the thing - if you have an iPhone you're all set - but if not be sure to check the phone compatibility list - it's not that broad - buyer beware.

I have the OSMO 2 and as you say yes the battery on the device may be 15 hours run time but connecting my iPhone to the device via bluetooth results in a dead phone in something like 30 - 30 minutes. The difference with the 3 is that you can connect it to the onboard battery and with the new redesign the lighting power it now unobstructed so hopefully you can have enough power to take some decent shots. I bought an OSMO Pocket, far better device and some awesome accessories.
To be honest, after watching your video how good DJI Osmo 3 is, I basically ordered one right away and when I got it, it was amazing and I fell in love with it. After a week of using it, suddenly it started making problems. It was showing "Gimbal Error" and "Reset Gimbal" and I honestly tried my very best looking for an answer how to factory reset my gimbal but it's not giving me an option to do that. I watched something on RUclips but not much answer and when I googled it, it was also useless. In fact it was showing me that a lot of people has the same problem as me and the gimbal website just say, they can't help the problem and all you have to do is press the trigger+M+Red button at the same time. I did it, it it's not taking me anywhere. Is there anyway you could make a video how to fix thjs issue? Sorry for the long message.

I bought it to use it with Filmic Pro, but it's not compatible. The older model was.

Gimble is a great game for smartphone filming. Only you develop skill to filming.

@@lameroad1569 if you look at his shadow, it seems that he's holding something long in his left hand but if you look at his left hand, it's empty.
