I've tinted my Mk6 it's not the best but it does the job. I prefer doing all the stuff on my car's that way you get better at doing it

After u cut the shape from your film outside , u need to heat it to become smaller , after u put on the inside to havr a 100% result

Good job but I had to use a heat gun to shrink the back window it wouldn't work otherwise I had lots of fingers and wasn't to good practice makes perfect
Does the sticker distort the film or not have an effect at all?
Jmncarter, hello mate, love the videos you post and what you do to your car! i have a couple of questions i wanted to ask that you might be able to help with! i have a 2007 fiesta and wanted to ask if you know if the power socket next to the gear change is always live , even with key out as i want to tap into a wire that is not live all the time? and also i want to change my front upper grille to a plain honeycombe one without any badge on it so do you know of any supplier who does an aftermarket one ? any help is appreciated. thanks , the batman.
What tint percentages did you use ?
Do you have to let your insurance company know? Im looking to do my fiesta too. But not sure if I should faff about with all this myself
It is quite difficult and yes I would tell your insurance company just to be safe

Well done for trying.. I tried the side windows.. couldn't get it perfect.. crushed up expensive pre cuts film.. pissed.. heat gun for the rear window does help

I think I'm gonna pay someone to do it.. but 70% looks like nothing is there.. and summer is nearly gone..but paying for it on the insurance so got to get it done!

I think there decent from what I've heard. If I were to do it again I'd probably try the pre cut tints off ebay, will be so much easier and quicker 👍

You should've tinted the CHMSL as well.
why are you using, window cleaner under the film? why not use dishsoap water=? and when you didt, the back window. you could have turned on, the window heater. to make it more ez, to the small failures away
The bottle was actually filled with dish soapy water lol, not window cleaner. I think I did try the rear heater after filming to try make it a bit better but nothing helped. Cheers for the input tho bud 👌
@@Jmncarter ahh okay hehe, didt not catch that;-) you need to do it, quit fast so it dont dry up to much. helped me with the worst spots.
Dude, what are those plastic strips called at the top of the driver and passenger windows called? Looks like they are model specific. They allow the window to be open a bit without a draught I assume, I need those on my car. What are they called and where can I get them, cheers.

Whatever tint you want mate. No limit on rears

Could you do the front windows too with the 20% tint or is that too risky to get pulled over ?
Way too risky! Maybe the lightest tints possibly for the fronts but I think it may still be illegal for any tints on the fronts but dont quote me on that 👍

Did you use spray tint or film for the rear lights mate ?
I actually brought them like that bud, belive they are sprayed tho. They do look very glossy which I like.
Jmncarter yeah I’ve tried to the spray from Amazon and it came out like a Matt spray paint and doesn’t look very good so I was just wondering , they do look very good though

What percent tint is that?
I was looking at taking the trim off the inside rear windows just to make access to the window on the inside a bit easier and was looking for a clip were it was shown but see you decided not to bother with removing the trim. Do you think in hindsight it would have made it easier (tho you did a good job).
It'll make it easier but if you don't know how to get it back on properly or if you break a clip you're a bit screwed

You clearly don't know how to tint windows and you clearly diddnt watch the video properly 🤦♂️ You're meant to trim the tint to size and shrink the film on the outside then transfer to the inside of the window 👍
