Full Clean + Detail On The Fiesta MK6

- Welcome back guys, in this video we gave the Fiesta a well needed clean. This was the works with Snowfoam, Shampoo, Full Decontamination of the paintwork, Machine Polish with Cutting Compound, Polish and Wax.

Watching your videos, I wish we had gotten the MK6 Fiesta in the states! Car looks fun to drive
I treat my fiesta like crap, have a big dent in rear corner. then I bought some bilt hamber doublespeed wax on a whim and for once had a nice shine. now I'm determined to properly sort the car out because of how impressed I was. its panther black and despite the horrible swirls etc looks very nice from a distance in the sun when waxed.
Yesss mate 👌 get into the detailing world and you'll love the results you can get. You wanna follow the steps where I used the DA polisher, that'll help with your swirls massively 👍

Should have done the bonnet half and half.. to see how good it was!! Car looks like a black mirror! I have been using the imo ultra hd pro shield and it's not bad!
After my car has had a truck side swipe me, barber drove into a wall, I nicked a fence post, traded paint with a range cos he didn't let me through with my right of way, and bushes getting it and last but not least, PEOPLE BANGING THEIR CAR DOORS ON MY CAR WHEN they get out.. I hate car parks.. I should use those noodle foams for the sides.
Would love to get the car back to its best and get the alloys sorted but it's probs best part of £800 to get it done. Which is like half of the cost of the car just to make it look nice again!

Oh yeah, tell me about it, all them little knocks you get from other people is so frustrating. I would love a respray but dont think I could afford that 👍
Using a bit too much polish and wax there mate. Also the polish your using is really a hand polish, if you want to remove your swirls in one easy step i'd recommend AutoFinesse One Step compound. It is meant to be applied by machine. Never the less, great video. That wax is mega.

Looks as good as my fiesta now. Took me 3 whole days to do mine. I compounded and used a finishing polish on mine then waxed and sealed. If you need any detailing tips or product recommendations just let me know 👍

@@Jmncarter next thing you could get is a ceramic coating. Will make the paint more slick, lasts longer and makes the car easier to clean. I'll try and get pictures of the products I used or my detailing section of my project

What products do you use?
@@billylongmore5251 I used Koch chemie H8.02 compound then britemax blackmax as a finishing polish. This compound really cuts well but the best thing is it adds gloss to the paint which most don't do. Honestly the paint was so glossy after this compound that the polish I used made very little difference only at certain angles I could see the difference very slightly.
I sealed it in with fusso coat and chemical guys petes 53 wax. The fusso coat I found to work very well if applied by itself with nothing on top and it lasts months 👍

good job mate. it is hard work, i done mine last year and ceramic coated it. when using the DA go easy where the edges of the panels and any lips or raised lines as the paint is thinner and you could burn through paint.

@@simonpryke1846 what ceramic coating you used? Was looking at the cheap gtechniq ones. Need some practice applying it before I'd apply it on my car.
@@zaink7037 it's easy mate. it was the first time iv done it. i got some in my becauseracecar box i get monthly can't remember what it was called now but the one your looking at is good. just follow what they tell you to do or there is lots of vids on here that will show you what to do. mate makes washing it easy to quick was and dry it done. 👌
@@simonpryke1846 that's good to know 👍. I just worry about not fully buffing it off and seeing streaking of the product on the paint. Definitely though need some coating. I applied some ceramic wheel coating from carbon collectives on my wheels and definitely it's so much easier cleaning it

Just a pointer. Put the cable over your shoulder.. It keeps it off the paintwork......
That paint sparkle is so good, wish I had a black car. I'm in the same situation as you, I seem to waste a lot of snow foam because the standard bottles that come with pressure washers aren't really designed for snow foams. They're intended for mixing general cleaning chemicals for stuff other than cars. Looking on getting an actual adapter with a quick-release for mine so I can properly foam it.
Yeah love the paintwork, so nice 🔥 Since this video I've ordered a proper snowfoam lance so hopefully should be all good
Have a look at the Autobrite snowfoam cannon. I bought one on amazon for my Karcher and came with a bottle of snowfoam too. Really thick foam and the cannon has loads of adjustment

I know your pain lol, i live in a flat so have had troubke getting water/hose. What's the reason you can't have a hose?
Good video mate, car looks good! Just a tip, that’s not a decontamination wash, you missed out the tar and glue removal and iron removal stages. Get those done and then the clay work and your results would be even better👌🏽
Cheers man, appreciate the tips. When using the exfoli block to decontaminate i was getting loads of tar off lol. Black car so you cant see the tar haha lol
Jmncarter no worries man! Yeah any clay media will remove a certain amount of tar, it it’s always good to do a full tar removal and iron fallout removal before touching the car with a machine polisher mate👌🏽

Looks really tidy mate, I’ve been tempted to try machine polishing my focus but keep putting myself off. Did you have any issues doing it or was it as easy as it looked?

It was pretty easy mate, just gotta be careful not to burn through the paintwork and just have a look at a few people doing it to pick up some info 👍
It's very easy to be honest. Get a DA machine polisher like the DAS6 PRO and get a few pads and a good compound and polish. It's very hard to burn paint with a DA polisher. I machine polished for the first time on my car and came out as good as Carter. I was the same as you that I had no idea how it'll be but it's really easy. Ford have soft paint so I'd say 2 passes crosshatch on medium to slow passes is enough

Did you change the backing pad on your DA? Or is that the standard one, I’ve got one and I feel the 7’ pads are a bit big for some spots
I did say at beginning of the video that I bought a smaller backing plate, think there 5 inch I believe
