Your shoulders will love you for using mixers like these. Personally I use a heavy-duty mixer as I find it the most user-friendly, but it is expensive compared to this product. Thanks for the review Newbie!
@@GunplaNewbie Yeah.. pressure plate on top and it vibrates it like crazy... Whole arm shakes. It was about 115 USD. I just put glass bearings for slingshots in all my dropper bottles, and they mix in a few seconds.
5:13 Instructions unclear, mixed human grease with enamel paints. Anyways, nice little video you made, definitely looking towards what stuff ya post haha
Thanks for the unboxing. The unprotected stir bars will rust inside paint bottles and ruin your paints. SS ball bearings are relatively less magnetic and unlikely to rust. However, this product would be a game changer if little sealed stirrer were cheap enough to add to all my paint bottles. Keep up the reviews 👏🏻.
Interestingly, since I've made that video, the stir bars are still in those bottles with paints. I went and check, seems fine. I'm not sure if it's actually fine for lacquer paints. Or the bars are just better...
I've not tackled these metal bars in such a way. But I've left them in some paint bottles for over a few months now. No problem to this date! But if I ever do another video related to mixers or agitators then I might do this test
Eh it's not too bad. Once most of my bottles have these bars then I could place this near my painting station. But yeah, it's good that there are other choices out there. I might get one to compare them
Thanks for the review, I suggest that you'd need resistant stir bars as the rods will eventually contaminate your color. also, vortexing is not very good when mixing paint, the bubbles generated will cause inconsistencies when you spray paint.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to find the exact model on Amazon. But I've provided links of similar products under the description section..please check it out if you're interested.
Sure thing. Here ya go. But take note that there are now more different brands of paint mixer out there on taobao. 7.0哈FnNoX7D2KSW! m.tb.cn/h.4wDDRcf?sm=d53b95 5D模型上色调漆瓶 工具 鸠极涡轮式摇漆器MS001 桌面油漆摇匀机

Thanks man..yeah I figured if it's affordable and useful, why it ? :D
Do you use those lab stuff that looks like a metal scale?

It is! I think it's quite useful bro. RM40++ I don't think there's any in Malaysia yet...
@@GunplaNewbie i think ive seen people posting this at local gunpla group.. xD
Can you give the link for taobao ?

here you go :)
Wouldn’t a battery paint stirrer like badger do the job just as well?
It probably would but it involves dipping the stirrer in to the paint bottle right? It's pros and cons to consider both options.
have you tried dropping the steel bars into salt water to see if they rust? since leaving metals that rust in your paints would make them unuseable

@@GunplaNewbie ok thanks :) i've read that some steel ball agitators have that problem, thats the reason i've held back from getting one of these :)
Definitely. Some ball bearings does have this problem but not all. Best bet would still be glass balls but so far the metal bars are still fine.
@@GunplaNewbie that's good to hear :) thanks!
That looks cumbersome to use, think I would just get a regular mixer

@@Adrix_Zero Now I'm curious. I'll give it a try and report back :D

I stop buying and start painting more lol

@@GunplaNewbie Thanks bro...
No problem 😊
Stainless Steel is nominally non-magnetic…
Magnets are no bueno in paints. They're gonna tarnish and ruin the pain. Vortex mixers are the best option.
You mean like magnets in the paint bottle itself ? What if it's just 440c treated steel bars ?
They make plastic coated metal bars for lab equipment. Search for magnetic stirrers
