When it works, you'll see the message on the phone saying "Recording through headset." Anh here is the order (you can try it). 1. Plug the Cable to the PHONE input of the Splitter. 2. Plug the Splitter to the PHONE input of your mobile phone. 3. Plug the other end of the cable to the piano/keyboard.

Chaplin Play CODM you will have to go in the keyboard’s Settings. Then under Utility, by « config2 » there is a option where you can turn on and off the speakers. I own a Yamaha so i dont know if its the same on other keyboards. Old Keyboards dont have this option i think
mellowdicaly mine is a Yamaha PSR S770 Workstation Keyboard. I have found your E-Piano on Internet. Your E-Piano doesn‘t include Outputs so you will not be able to connect cables, sadly...

Can I get a cable with the microphone input built in? Edit: The answer is no. You need the splitter. Even with a TRRS cable, your device won’t detect your piano as a microphone using the combo jack

I just bought the yamaha dgx-660. Love it. I want to shoot videos with audio quality JUST like you show here. I have an iPhone 10. There is another video on RUclips showing them using a USB a-b cable and a iphone lightning camera adapter. I used the set he showed...nothing! Can you tell me EXACTLY what chords I need to buy and if it will work with iphone 10? Once I do this set up do I have to change ANY settings in the phone so when I record video I get this sound and not the internal mic still on the phone? Recording MIDI and using a free PC Piano VST can be puch higher quality than the embedded manufacturer VSTs. A PC VST can be 1GB of sampling, it's usually much lower than that on entry/mid range digital pianos. I now record smartphone dirty sound and use it to align with the PC rendered audio.

I tried this, but when I playback the recording I hear pretty loud white noise that diminish whenever I press the puano notes and gradually comes back whenever there's void between notes. How do you solve this
You need to connect them in a specific order. I plug my converter into the output then connect the cable to the converter then connect the splitter to the cable and then connect the splitter to the phone. This worked for me! 😁
Works on my kawai es110. Im using a samsung note 9 phone. Had a little problem with buzzing sounds and a little distortion as soon as I hit some bass part of the song. Is there an app to remove those unnecessary noises?

You can download a sound modifier like PilferSmush Jammer to change from mono to stereo.

Actually, on DGX-660 you can do even better - use USB flash to record music and then combine video and audio in post processing.
