    Connection before content - awesome!

    • @chad.littlefield
      @chad.littlefield  3 года назад

      It is a magical phrase indeed! It informs so, so much of the way that I design an experience with a group. Even if the gathering is really content heavy, I'm asking "how can Connection Before Content" make the content come alive?

    I am the resistant one. Instead of sitting there I get up and use the bathroom.

    • @chad.littlefield
      @chad.littlefield  Месяц назад

      Perfect 👍👍 Challenge by choice haha. I like to remind everyone of their free will. All a (good) facilitator does is lay out choices to hopefully jump start actually important and meaningful conversation and connection. Has nothing to do with "getting" resistant people to participate in BS against their will. Make it purposeful...or highly consider not doing it.

      The framing of whatever you are doing typically matters even more than WHAT you are doing for sure.

    On an unrelated note, how do record your video like this - split screen with a writing board? And what are you using to write - ipad? Thank you for potentially entertaining my silly questions!

      Not silly questions and happy to answer! This video is a deep dive into my whole tech setup if you're curious: ruclips.net/video/EZ_QudlLmPc/видео.html But in short, I use eCamm Live and the app, Notability, on my iPad. To be fair though...I also have an entire editing team that chops up the videos afterward too.

    Hey Chad, I’ve got to present my boring yearly objectives to a team
    I’ve worked with for more than 15 years. What are the ice breakers would you recommend for those I see day in and out

    • @chad.littlefield
      @chad.littlefield  Год назад +1

      First of all, I would check this out to learn How To Make Boring Topics More Interesting And Engaging: ruclips.net/video/-_PYJUpks8A/видео.html
      Then...I think you might click well with my video on "teambuilding for the established team": ruclips.net/video/-xCQSJpiWgg/видео.html
      Feel free to send over a specific question in the comments of either of those too! I'd be delighted to help make your objectives-and your group-"sing." Haha.

    I have been playing with the term Connection Creators instead of Ice Breakers.

    • @chad.littlefield
      @chad.littlefield  3 года назад +1

      Fun! I'd be curious to hear a groups reaction to the two phrases: Connection Creators. And "Connection Before Content." I think the framing matters just as much as the language. If not more.

    • @captgenki
      @captgenki 3 года назад +1

      @@chad.littlefield I use connection before content in our camp staff training, and I am looking at how to reframe our activities and that is where i have been playing with Connection Creators. I will let you know the responses.
