WILD CAMPING ON NEW YEAR'S EVE 2023 | WINDY HILL TOP CAMP FOLKESTONE | NYE FIREWORKS AND GIN?!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome back to Kent for a New Year's Eve celebration on top of Sugarloaf Hill overlooking Folkestone where I wild camped with Dawn and saw in 2024! We took our Vango Helvellyn 2 tent and put it through it's paces on the hill top where there were strong winds coming in off the English Channel! We reviewed 2 new ciders and some homemade gin from a subscriber. The fireworks across the town at midnight were incredible as we saw in 2024 and reflected on what a fantastic year 2023 had been and looked forward to what 2024 will bring!

I never used to be a big gin fan...it is the only spirit I have to have a mixer with, and that would be fresh orange.

I totally agree! Unfortunately it's a very busy time of year working in a gym and I've had a lot of new clients so not much time to sit down for a few hours for a few days and edit.

Nice one guys! I didin't like the sound of that Hogan's cider but I think I'll keep an eye out for it just to try it! That souded pretty windy up there but a good viewpoint for the fireworks nonetheless. All the best for 2024 🙏🏕

No it was actually pretty quiet. It was noisier at caesars camp but not bad. Was louder on the north downs way. It becomes white noise after a while.
